You're right about it being a bit early on his phone in that panel; In hindsight it might have been better to set it around 10pm. I think midnight is a bit too late, as I don't think that Dennis would bother texting that late. I'm glad you noticed the lack of underwear, even though I don't think we've seen a hint of it throughout the comic... I'll just say, that Travis is the sort to wear underwear when he goes out. If I hadn't added a clock to the front of Travis's phone, I would never have had to think about what time it is in the story! But he just keeps having to flip that damn phone out... It makes me appreciate how in any form of entertainment, when you see a clock, someone had to sit and think about what time in the day it would be. This is a fantastic comment, thank you for taking the time to write it!

I was confused when I saw final art, because Travis’ phone said ‘8:25’ which seemed to be too early for all the time passing the montage suggested…but then I was like, “Sweet, the night is young!” Yet the (outstanding) lighting etc on the page suggests—along with dialog—that it’s more like 11:25 or 12:25. This actually makes more sense timewise. And lines up with the classic Mood Shift Maneuver: where the host decides to casually ‘slip into something more comfortable’ (man have I ever been on both sides of this!) In Travis’ case, this apparently means switching out the shirt he’s been in all day for a tank, and subtly going commando…which Joe would immediately pick up on since he’s clearly been scoping that cake all night. Well played Woofy, well played. Meesh, this just gets better and better: a masterclass in sexual tension, common in the real world, but too seldom seen in graphic arts. PS something else affecting the sense of time’s elasticity: I just realized that all of Passing Love 2 has taken place IN A SINGLE DAY! It started bright and early with Joe, waking up exhausted in last nights shirt and with massive morning wood even though he’s surrounded by tissues, because he’s obviously been masturbating all night over Travis. And the story has gone from there, from Travis’ POV other than the gym. That’s what adds to the realism: the comic is happening in real time. Great storytelling!

The acknowledgment that supporting an extra limb would require foundational muscle, and the shape it would likely take akin to a lower abdominal structure, is a kind of attention to detail that I love of Meesh's work
