Added 2024-09-18 17:43:00 +0000 UTCThe sketch for this piece was fun enough to work on, but once I hit the coloring phase I realized I didn't really have a strong goal in mind and I wasn't very invested in taking it in any particular direction. For me, one of the worst feelings is working on a piece that you're completely uninterested in, and I believe I've gotten there with poor Rauru. Instead of torturing myself for small amounts of progress I think I'll set this aside for now.
I'm sorry to those of you who were sincerely excited to see this finished, but I just need to do something else right now. Once I've refreshed myself I'll try and approach this from a different perspective and bring it to a finish.

I don't know the details, but I think the whole point of being on Patreon rather than working on commissions (*sighs*), is that you work on the pieces you want to work on rather than the pieces you're requested to work on. So, you're expected to use that privilege, you do good in putting it aside for now. ;) I don't know this character. Frankly, I'm not a fan of the design, but you were making it very interesting. I'm curious to see where it goes when (or if) you'll pick it up again.
