[Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 68]
Added 2025-11-15 22:25:33 +0000 UTCMarkus waited in anticipation as a loading bar appeared before him.
He waited for a couple seconds before the screen popped in completion.
[—Ding! Rune-Script Magic[Max], Fuinjutsu[Max], Sigil Magic[Max] Has Fused And Evolved into ~ Magus Script[1]-]
He raised an eyebrow at the name of the skill, quickly pulling up his skill tab and frowning as he found that all three of the skills he used for the fusion were gone.
In their place was the new skill.
[—Magus Script[1] ~ The Magus Script, a form of code that is the closest to the code of the source. This skill allows the user the skill to utilise any magical language they know to empower or give power to reality.
~Allows the user to give meaning, form and power to words, etchings, runes, sigils and all form of language as all is but Code to the Source.
~Utilising this Skill is Mana Extensive.]
Markus stood there amazed as information streamed inside his head.
This was like all three skills he fused and many more in one, he found himself knowing Egyptian texts, Aztec Patterns, Druid Symbols and so much.
With just this one skill he found that each of these different cultures languages of power had facets that they were better at than others.
He also learnt how to carve them, how to bring their power out into the world.
“ This just got better and better....” He thought grinning, raising his hand as an Egyptian rune of fire materialised out of mana.
As soon as the rune fully materialised, the rune combusted into a golden orb of pure flames the size of an apple.
He raised a brow as that simple act took 1% out of his 105 Stats worth of Mana.
He shrugged, deciding to play with the new magic later as he focused on a screen that had been blaring up as soon as the [Magus Script] skill had been created.
[—Ding! You've discovered the new fusion feature!]
[—Fusion ~ A feature that allows the user to fuse two similar skills, traits or abilities into one at the cost of their individual parts for a better or worse result depending on the selected parts.]
Reading through that he immediately realised the usefulness of the new feature.
Especially since he had a ton of skills that he could fuse, and if the [Magus Script] was anything to go by then that meant if he chose right then the resulting fusion will be way more grander the the summ of its parts.
This was a double edged blade as he could ruin a fusion by adding something not synergistic but honestly he thought that the risk was worth it.
He even almost started fusing willy nilly, hoping to obtain a skill just as great as the [Magus Script] but stopped himself.
He still had something to finish after all.
So preparing himself, he wore his loosest clothes, ones he wouldn't mind losing before making his way to where the clones were.
The lab that had been used for the serum administration was empty, all the subjects being moved to the basement.
Reaching the basement he grinned at how different it looked.
When he last was here it had looked like a mad wizards dwelling.
Now though it was more sophisticated, the walls having been transmuted into a black obsidian substance stronger than diamond that sparkles in the light.
The facilities had also been revamped, spotting more technological improvements alongside magical.
The runes etched on every equipment that was in the basement told him that his magic clone had been busy.
His focus though for now wasn't on that.
He focused instead on the cells on the far left, they too having been improved and strengthened to facilitate the supernatural creatures they now held.
“ All subjects survived their transformations, the normal animal genes used for the serums also didn't diminish the power of the resulting were-creatures by much.” One clone muttered, his voice monotone as he read from a report uncaring for the shackled and gagged prisoners who cried out for mercy.
“ It seemed that magic was the solution to creating were-creatures, using a simple transmutation to imbue the DNA samples of the animals we had was enough to bring up each serums Rank up to S Tier.” Another clone said, staring at our subjects who stared in horror, fear and confusion.
Probably at seeing a dozen man with the same faces.
“ By your command they were given the single DNA serums, so they are not chimeras.” Another stated.
“ Good, which one do I start with next?” Markus asked, staring at the people he was about to end.
A small part of him thought he'd be apprehensive of killing innocent man and woman, but he wasn't.
This was all for for power and his survival, and for that he was willing to do unspeakable things or so he had come to realise.
“ Let's start with what we know best.” A clone muttered, walking up to the furthest cell.
“ The chains on their arms are runes to inhibit their strengths and transformations.” He was told.“ But from what we have gotten out of the tests, these are the prominent results of all the subjects.”
“ All of them have exhibited more strength than we had expected, with the lowest subject being able to exhibit 2 tons of power.”
Markus mulled over that information, it seemed that his experiments had caused the resulting creations to be more powerful than he thought; something to be proud of to be about to wield.
“ They are also faster, by how much is inconclusive due to limitations of out facility and the lack of our subjects help and also we've tested their durability to be able to tank a bullet with only minor lacerations.”
“ We've been also able to ___ them by types, depending on what they are better at than others.”
“ The werewolf infront of us is the most basic, a jack of all trades but master of none in Strength, Speed and Durability.” A clone said, pointing at the man who looked to have taken a dip into the pools of youth by how different he looked from before.
But then again, all the subjects undertook a physical change.
“ The serum though did have beneficial changes even if the type the werewolf is the same, now he's a better Jack Of All Trades and even as a beta we put him in the league's of a newly turned alpha.”
Hearing that he raised a brow, wondering wether his serums were really that strong.
Turning a human to a beta with the strengths of an alpha.
He wondered what that power would be like when he absorbed it.
After all he was an Alpha Chimera, and any form he took would also be alpha by technicality.
“ What other were-creatures were you able to make?” He asked, as he hadn't been that hands on with creating the other serums after he completed his True Chimera Serum.
“ We were able to create the following, we focused on immediate use first.” The clone closest to him said before showing him a report.
The were two papers given to him, one of the types that the clones had created and one showing the were-creatures he had to absorb.

“ We have a lot to do, so let's get started.” Markus muttered, grinning at his catalogue of prey.
