Panel 3 - Hekima: I also know you aren't here to steal my sacred gourds.

Uru: *sigh* Yeah.
Hekima: Well, what is it? That, I do not know.
Uru: Hekima, I've heard you're... very wise and maybe know some magic.
Panel 5 - Uru: I found out today that Ahadi and me are betrothed. I have to marry him and I don't know if I can. Mom said this is because of the war. To bring peace. But why? Why do I have my life chosen for me? It's not FAIR.

Hekima: Ah, I see. Life's not fair, is it?
Uru (off screen): Hekima, please!
Panel 7 - Uru: I - I know it's duty or whatever. But I'm worried about Ahadi. He's stuck with this too. He's my best friend. But I don't see us ... I don't know if he ... or if I ...

We're continuing the pre/midquel to Betrothed with another page! And some conversation.
I originally announced this series on DA. It's accessed through a pay-to-access folder ($5, one-time fee). But you guys at the $1 Patreon Pride tier and up will get early announcements and WIPs here as well as full access to all the final stuff! It's called Broken: War of Lions and it'll detail the story before Betrothed takes place.
Is it another comic?
No, not exactly. This page (and the pages to follow) ARE a comic, but the whole story won't be that way. I fear I'd never have the time to do that. ^^; So it will be an illustrated story with one major image from the chapter featured with the story itself in written form. Like a picture book.
Comic pages and sequential art WILL show up from time to time, though. Because I know I won't be able to help myself and some scenes are too important for me to just be one or two images alone.
