New Patreon Banner? Discussion
Added 2018-04-14 17:29:06 +0000 UTCIt's likely going to be that I'm going to spend 1-2 years outputting My Little Ventrue content, once Medusa is done. Dolareido is a big city, and the Vampire: the Requiem setting has a lot of tools for me to use to craft some storylines outside the typical 'thriller' formula I've been using. Dark mysteries, things that go bump in the night, more characters, expanding the city, and even flashback stories depending on who wants what.
So that got me thinking, I need a proper Patreon banner that reflects that. I was thinking a sort of city street's night shot, with the road, traffic, pedestrians in fancy dresses and suits. Jack and Julias would be there, standing next to each other to show how different they are in size. And maybe on the right side of the banner there'd a close up of Antoinette's nose and lips and chin. A seductive smile. Something alone those lines, almost film noir.
And then I realized I need to find an artist to commission such a piece of work. I have no idea who to commission, or how to find an artist to commission. Hmmmm.
Note: and for people wondering, when I quit my job in July, I'll have enough money saved up that I can live on zero income for at least a couple years. Should be enough time to get the Patreon healthy and strong if I'm putting out 30 chapters a year.

yeah, remembering names is a real bitch. doesn't matter how many names you have in a story or how complicated or memorable they are because you'll always make mistakes. i keep a notepad near that's just for names with each page marked with a story. it REALLY helps. for longer stories or multiple arcs like you've got with the vamps, i'd probably dedicate an entire pad just for Jack & co.

I was going to send an edit of MLV into Literotica to remove the header messages, before I resume the series. I'll do a name check when I do and make sure everyone's named correctly. Rebecca Jessica Jennifer Jessy, I need better names for my secondary characters, or at least easier to remember ones.

2018-04-15 14:01:23 +0000 UTCask tefler. he's got a good artist who could probably use more work, but don't know. maybe he can recommend someone? also, perhaps get a shot of elysium tower in the background. it's kind of a landmark in the story that distinguishes the town. i also think a few pedestrians is good to get a feel for the place but going for traffic is too much - if you make a scene too busy, it'll have a 'where's waldo' kind of effect. just some thoughts for you to mull over. Your story, your choices.
