Demon girls - Discussion
Added 2018-06-01 21:39:52 +0000 UTCSo I'm planning out the various elements of My Little Ventrue's future. It's going to be a long running series after all, potentially even running multiple years.
MLV is set in Vampire: the Requiem, and there's a lot of openness about the setting, a lot I can add or re-imagine. And while I'm going to keep the series genre the same (Paranormal mystery/thriller), and the focus will be on the vampire characters I've created, I'm planting seeds for potential future characters, future directions, etc.
I'm curious about demon girls. Namely, where to draw the line? I've included 4 links to inspiration art, and am wondering how close to non-human I can take characters before they stop being sexually appealing.
That isn't to say that MLV will have 'demon girls' in the future, but as there are many many things that sneak around in the dark in the V:tR setting, I have a lot of options available to me. The sky's the limit.
How demon is too demon? Personally I find all four tiers sexually appealing. Yes, even Tier 4, which would have some very interesting storytelling possibilities just because of how extreme it is, but at the same time, may be too at odds with the setting.

2018-06-09 13:12:01 +0000 UTCI should have made it more clear; these won't be demon girls in MLV, but demon girls art served for the litmus of how 'crazy' I can get with the physical shape of a sexual partner before the readers lose interest.

2018-06-06 20:10:07 +0000 UTCAs for demons in MLV, I dunno. You’d have to come up with a good reason why they simply haven’t taken over Dolareido, since in the WoD demons were dang powerful and functionally immortal as I recall. Can’t recall their weakness. You’ll do it well I’m sure though.

2018-06-06 18:32:06 +0000 UTCTier 3 will work with more sexy bits; Tier 4 would be challenging simply because much of sex is in the emotion of it, and lack of a mouth or face really hampers that emotion. You’ll have to write in a good amount of body language - or use pheromones to give a physical response - in order to convey happiness, lust, orgasm and so forth. That said, I could see it happening.

And having a creature(s) in the story that looks like something that walked out of hell, but is actually something quite capable of love, and lots and lots of sex, is a story angle I love to explore. I plan to write a short series in the future (in my free time) literally set in Hell, where a man befriends a demon of T4 type. She saves him from other demons, and as she's nursing him back to health, this creature of spikes and talons and teeth, but also feminine perfect curves, has sex with him as he's recovering. A lot of it. It's the combination of sexual curves but also scary features that make it interesting. But that might not be the best fit for MLV. I'm exploring what options are available to me, what will work with the setting and characters, etc.

2018-06-02 12:57:55 +0000 UTCI think that it would be interesting to do some sort of subvert expectations kind of thing. You could have demons in the story across all the tiers. Have a T1 demon whos "evilness" is all on the inside (ie. main antagonist kind of evil). Then a T4 demon who is "good" (or as good as you want the demons to be able to be). Of course to some extent that has already been done with Beatrice and the other vampires. But the demons would potentially let you take it to more extremes.

2018-06-02 12:33:36 +0000 UTCYeah the lack of face is the key difference on T4. Agony's demons are very disturbing. As a game dev, I'm always keeping an eye out for new games that do new, interesting things. Agony has awesome art direction! But the game sucks. :(

2018-06-02 05:06:27 +0000 UTCup to about tier 3 for me personally. That being said i think its mostly the fact that tier 4 the extreme part is the face (ie. there isnt hardly anything face like about it). Preference would be 3 > 2 > 1 > 4 based on these images
