This is the physical and political map of Pellenein, the island-continent setting of the story. If you would compare it to the real world it's about the size of Greenland or one third of Australia. The most important places in the world are marked on the map. As the story progresses, the map will be updated with new relevant locations. I'll also mention that most of the story is going to take place around Orithane and Borestias, so please temper your expectations.
Hope you will find it useful to orient yourself around the world! The map will be added to the bonus folder during the next update.
Many people said they were pleasantly surprised with the length of the first chapter. I wanted that first part to be a strong starting off point so that everyone can get a good taste for the story, which is why I worked hard on it for a few months before launch.
At this point I'm not completely sure what my rhythm is going to be with the amount of content I can develop, but in my estimation every monthly update from now on will have about half as much story content as the first chapter. Keep in mind I also have to develop graphical resources, which take a lot of time. I want each character to have different sprites for different moods, and they will also change clothing later on.
Because this VN is about a journey, we're going to visit a lot of different places, and each place will need new backgrounds. Most of the backgrounds in the first chapter are either placeholders or unfinished, and they will have to be touched up as well. A few of the character sprites were also woefully unfinished (The Marshall, the two male strangers, the shadow).
However, I'm well aware that most of you want more of the story, as you have pointed out in the feedback form. I will aim to have a good chunk of the story delivered every month, at least for the next several updates. Just wanted to give a fair warning that in the future I may have to take a month to focus solely on graphical assets.
I launched Pervader and this Patreon on the 5th, so for now expect the first update on June 5th. Most of the script for the next update was already finished before launch, but it needs a bit more love.
