Matthew defence rant incoming (it's long sorry):
it's nice to see you be empathetic to matthew's situation bc i think a lot of people forget it's really easy for us to sit at home and say he's being selfish and needs to put the team first but i'm sure it's hard when your part dictates your line distribution, screen time and time in the centre- and so also your votes and ranking. i don't think matthew would have reacted badly if he'd never been given the part in the first place but he's politely given up the part he wanted on every performance so far and this time he finally got the part he wanted, learned and practised it, and then got it taken from him.
i think there's also a bit of a culture clash happening bc korean society values humility and social harmony but with matthew being from north america he'll have grown up being encouraged to be confident and fight for his place. on top of that then the korean members try to be diplomatic and phrase it like 'we think this other part would suit you SO much better what do you think?' but matthew's thinking 'don't act like i have a choice, you're changing the parts' and i think the fact they tried to sugarcoat it ended up just making the situation worse although it's clear they were 100% right anyway
ultimately the right decision i just feel bad for him that it happened the way it did

The fact that Park Hanbin learned 2 choreos at the same time is insane. I still don't understand how he wasn't able to debut in ZB1, I mean I do (fan voting) but based on his skills alone, the producers should have given him a wild card.
