January Photos #4: Back from the Park

What a day it was for this Little stinker! From the swings to the slides to the jungle gym, he conquered it all. He didn't mind that daddy made him wear one of his most babyish outfits. In fact, he received quite a few compliments on his dino hoodie and shoes. He was a little trepidatious at first when Daddy told him he had to keep his paci in the whole time, but after seeing that most of the other big toddlers also had pacis, he realized it wasn't worth worrying about it. He didn't even mind that his diaper was clearly visible every time he bent over or lifted his arms. He barely paid attention to the smug smiles and snide comments some of the other mommies and daddies made when they spotted the papery frills poking out the waistband of his shorts.
"Isn't he a little old to be in diapers that thick?" One mommy chuckled as she watched Mav waddle past.
"Some boys just need a little more time than others," Daddy replied with a wry smile.
A few months ago, Mav would have been embarrassed to hear grown-ups talking about him like this. Not anymore. He's long past caring. Who knows? After so much time on bABy Island, he might believe he's an actual toddler at this point.
