February Photos #4: The Five Stages of Pooping, Stages 3-5
Added 2023-02-28 17:18:27 +0000 UTCLast week, we noted the importance of being able to recognize the body language of a toddler who's soiling his diaper. We went over the first two stages of that body language, pointing out key gestures and facial expressions. Here are the final three stages!
STAGE THREE: (first photo): Mav has shifted positions slightly and is now fully focused on filling up his diaper. Note his scrunched face and look of utter concentration. He's even grabbed his teddy bear for some extra support!
STAGE FOUR (second photo): Sometimes, the poopy just keeps on coming. This is when you get the deer-in-the-headlights look. The rest of load is pretty much sliding out on its own at this point, with no pushing or grunting needed. Mav is somewhat dazed, almost in a trance, as he squats there and let's nature take it's course.
SSTAGE FIVE (third photo): Mav has finished the deed and has realized that Daddy saw the whole thing. He pouts slightly, knowing that he'll have to get his diaper changed now. He stays squatting in his little corner, hiding from Daddy, not wanting to move and cause the mess in his pants to squish and ooze all over. Normally Mav doesn't mind this, so this must be an especially big poopy! Time to get him cleaned up.
