April Photo Post #1: Shy, Not Shy

The other day, Daddy got the idea to re-create one of the earliest photos from Mav's baby book. That's the first photo. Look how shy Mav was! Just a week into his journey back to toddlerhood, still a bit afraid of the camera, easily embarrassed by being dressed in a childish outfit and forced to pose with his big puppy. At this point, he still thought he was big. He didn't think he needed diapers. He resisted when Daddy tried to check and change him, put him in his crib, and make him watch cartoons or play with toys.
The second photo tells a whole different story. It shows the new version of Mav--an energetic Little toddler who's happy, relaxed, and confident in his infantile garb. He accepts the reality that he needs to be in diapers after having wet and stinky accidents daily for the last several months. He loves his crib, and he would happily watch Cocomelon and play with his toys all day if given the chance. No more whining during diaper checks and changes. No more complaining that he's too old for his binky. Just a bouncy Little guy who barely remembers his the adult life he once lived.
