Hey everyone! Time for the fifth weekly devlog of Booty Hunter!
This week I focused on expanding the core gameplay systems by working on Crafting, Cooking, and a new Item Compendium. Letβs break it down:

Iβve been building out a flexible system that allows you to create recipes for a variety of purposes:
π₯ Food to heal during battles
π οΈ Ship parts for future upgrade systems
π§© And more craftable content to come

Just like fishing, crafting and cooking require the help of one of the girls in your crew.
Each girl has her own Crafting Level, and the higher it is:
The more complex recipes she can handle
The more available recipes sheβll unlock over time

This system adds another layer of depth and strategy when choosing who to assign to each task β especially if youβre managing jobs across multiple girls.

To go along with this, I also added a brand-new section to the Compendium β the Item Database!
This lets the player:
Look up where to obtain a specific item (drops, shops, etc.)
Keep track of items theyβve already found
Better plan their crafting or trading routes
This feature should be super helpful for completionists and players who enjoy optimizing their inventory.


Now that the foundations of crafting and cooking are in place, Iβll keep refining them and start implementing more recipes and effects.
I also plan to:
Expand the Item Compendium UI
Add more trait-based influences to crafting performance
Start to Work on Navigation Sytem
And continue improving the connection between fishing, cooking, and the broader job system
