SDFC was also missing players. Chucky is injured, Ingvartsen (starting striker) is injured, McNair (starting CB) is injured, and Godoy (starting mid) is with Panama. Godoy’s backup, Alvarado, got injured during this game when Vancouver scored their second goal and he had to be carried off. Some controversy since the ref let the play run for a whole minute when Alvarado was hurt, leading to Vancouver’s second goal. But a few minutes earlier, the ref stopped SDFC’s attack when a Vancouver player was down with an injury (non-head).
