Site Changes, Page Changes, and Subscribestar

Hey folks, coming to you with an update on Patreon, this specific patreon page, and also my subscribestar page. This is a pretty important update, so I recommend reading it even if it's a bit long.

1) Site Changes

If you are pledged to other creators you might have heard about this already from them, but due to Apple policies, patreon is requiring creators to stop using the original pledge system, which was the 'charge upfront + rebill on the 1st of the month' system.

Starting in October, new pledges will be charged when they join, and rebill will occur 30 days after their join date, rather than on the 1st of the next month. 

This change to billing will also be changing how this page works.

2) Patreon page update 

Because pledges will no longer be synchronized, reward distribution will be changing. Currently, anyone pledged during the month will receive all rewards for that month.

Starting in October, any new pledges will receive all rewards posted during their pledge duration, + the most recently posted picture before they joined. Additionally, packs containing all the illustrations made during a specific month will be uploaded to my Itch page, with active pledgers receiving discount codes for those packs.

The $10-tier perk of requesting 1 past image set each month will only apply to image sets made before October 2024.

3) Subscribestar

Let me begin this section by stating: It is 100% fine if you would prefer to keep pledging on patreon.   But as I explained in the previous post about patreon's policies vs subscribestar's, patreon has an extremely restrictive upload policy, so some image sets will need to be distributed off the website.

I'm happy to announce that my subscribestar page is now completely mirrored with this patreon page! For anyone that already uses subscribestar and prefers it over patreon, you have the option to swap to my subscribestar page instead. If you pledge to my subscribestar within a week of this post going up, please send me a message on patreon letting me know (please include your subscribestar username in the message) so that I can refund your patreon pledge for this month. 

If you would prefer to finish out September on patreon and swap to subscribestar in October, that's also fine.

Important info RE: Subscribestar

1) They do not accept paypal for pledge payment, so do not swap if you currently pledge using paypal.

2) I don't think there is an app

3) Subscribestar has much more open guidelines in their acceptable upload policy, which will allow me to be a lot freer in what I get to draw.

4) Subscribestar has discord integration like patreon (I will be getting that set up soon)
