Weekly progress report

Hello guys! This week Lust Survivor v1.0.1 is out for all our patrons (here), and you can play it on itch (here). Aside from LS, NBNL is already on development as well as the case of rancagua! So Today we'll have multiple paragraphs and to make it more barable I have extra imges today.

Let's start as always with LS, now I've been dealing with administrative stuff. I managed to get the game on itch because it's the easiest plataform you can publish in but steam is taking so long this time I had multiple issues that can only be atributed to bad luck. But sometimes you can't do much about it so maybe I'll end up posting v1.1 in there. Seapking of 1.1, this version will be a short one on my side and on your side I'm planing on ading a bad ending and for v1.2 getting more bad endings since it's what's behind the "Coming soon".

Now, for NBNL I had a goal of making at least one new event this week and I managed to do it! I mostly focused on the variable design and remmembering what was each character up to so the new events don't feel out of place in the new version.

For Rancagua I have lots of new things. Of course don't expect a release on May but since there are more technicall parts of the game I'll be able to keep you more up to date in the details. Right now I was importing models to the game and I got these NPCs, when the game is ready I think it will be heavy for a v0.1 since each model is about 20mb so 50 models is 1gb. Right now I'm mostly testing this part and the models work on a technical level but I want to add diferent animations to them. Stuff like having diferent walk styles depending on the model, having an "older person" walk or some characters just sitting. On the 2D side of things this month I'll have the final designs for MC and Erica. I don't think Nicole needs much change from the first draft, maybe some minor changes. Now the other thing I was evaluating is using busts for 2D dialogue sprites since we'll have the 3D models moving and doing things during events.

At least in the short term I want to start adding more pictures to the report, since I won't be just using Ren'py I should have more images to show. In Ren'py I have 2 options to show, new images that for the 2D games are a limited resourse and code, a green wall of code without anything too flashy becasue it's dialogue. At least with NBNL I can make images on demand and each version has like 200 images so I can show without spoiling and in Rancagua I have new areas, new NPCs and the 2D images we'll have. So expect more pictures in the next reports!!
