Hello guys! This was a great week for TCoR, I got overexcited working on it and ended up not working that much in NBNL. Sometimes you finally achive something that was getting really hard and yo get excited, so this report will be really focused on that game.
I think this week we should make it in cronological order rater than game order so things make sense. Durinng the weekend I started working on the same long scene in NBNL and I think we are 2/3 ready, then got back into TCoR and tried to get the animations working withouut any success again, so I got in the main file and added changed some terminology, nothig big I used the things I managed to work during last week.

Now on Monday things start working! I tried starting from 0 in the test game I had so I made test game 2, things finally worked! I managed to export animations into the game and got characters correctlly doing them!

That lead me to some questions so science time! If I imported "girly walkig" can other girl do it? Turns out they can't, but what if they had the same skelleton? That lead me to make a recolor version of the test character and it works! That lead me to the third question, do dresses and long hair cout as different skelletons? They don't! So both characters you see down there have the same skelleton and are using the same animation set wihout havig some weird contortions. I know the black haired girl hand's are clipping inside the dress but that's an easy fix.

During the week I ended up importing lots of clothing to the VROID studio and looking for regular's people clothes was pretty hard! Because VROIDS are meant to be avatars rather than NPCs so making an old farmer is harder than making super hot girl with cat ears.
So after all that, where are we in the development of the game? Right now as long as characters have the correct skelleton they can be imported and I can import the animation sets later. So right now I should make placeholder versions of MC and Nicole that aren't that exotic looking and populate the game with NPCs with the boring animations taking notes of their skelletos. In the meantime, I'll look for the animatios and test them in the test game 2 to avoid havign a mess of usseless files, because right now for example walk and idle animatios that are serviceables but the combat animations looks horrible on action (they looked nice on the generic modle tough) so before adding them to the real game I need to try them first. But gettinng here really took way longer than it should! Speaking of combat, you'll be able to see it the first version of it next week, because right now the animations make it look really bad.
