Weekly progress report

Hello guys! This week I forced a friend to play TCoR and that's why the report was delayed until today (Sunday). So what did he think about it?

Let's start with my friend's feedback! My original idea for this version of the game is to get to the action fast but it seems like things are happening too fast and he tought that during day 1 of the game he didn't know what was the objective of the characters, so maybe adding some of the MC's toughts would help as well as marking important things in another color. He did like the game's idea but I should have the start of the game to be easier to follow and as an extra placeholders confused my friend a lot for example I'm using a mace as the model for a "Rusty pipe" and he hated that.

I did worked on the game for more than one day! So, we have in fact progress to report. Among the things I focused this week was on cutscenes I added some extra cutscenes without dialogue to the game added some dialogue choices to other scenes so pacing aside day 1 is mostly feature comple. I updated the maps so during cutscenes you don't see the edge of the map and polished the combat so battles are fun but I think the GUI needs work because I'm using the basic interface that comes in with the engine. Finally I wanted to add stuff like grafity and details to the terrain but since the engine released the 1.0 update last week they are patching stuff everyday and adding pngs to the terrain wasn't working when I tried. For the most noticeable part I got 2 new 2D assets.

This week most of the work was centered on TCoR but I did manage to squeze some time for NBNL, I made a new model for Jenna that will be showing up in the next version and started working on what will happen, because the next update will be centered on the friends harem and making corruption useful. On the corruption side I've got the idea but the execution itself is hard because having high corruption means that Nicole would be a bad person rather than a slut like in most games. So making corruption useful means that since Nicole is morally corrupt she'll be doing the corrupting, right now we have the dominant route on Mia's line and we have a dominant route for Sarah but in the current versionn of the game is almost impoisble to access so my plan is to add a secundary character that only exist to be corrupted. Then we go back to the question who will be and how will it work? Right now I'm not sure but this week we'll have some events!
