There WERE cartoons (might have been just one) where Wile E Coyote spoke with the sophisticated accent. This is where the "Wile E Coyote. Super Genius" came from. But it was where Bugs encountered Wile, not the roadrunner. As far as I know, Coyote vs Roadrunner was always silent.

You all are thinking of Ralph Wolf who was just Wile E Coyote with a red nose. Also had a neat puzzle platformer game from the PS1 called Sheep Raider

Prey ties into that animated Predator movie very slightly, so I'd watch it first. Both are very good. I love what Dan Trachtenberg is doing with that universe.
