Schedule for the Week of 07/14/2025

We’re back from vacation and boy howdy, it was a fairly busy in the Caravella household. As I write this construction should be starting on my basement renovation which has been planned for years now. There may be a dumpster being delivered today, right outside of my garage, so whether or not that construction manifests somehow on recordings… I can’t say. I spent a good amount of the break getting the last of everything broken down and out of our basement so the crew doesn’t have to deal with moving too much around. That included moving my server rack to the attic, which I was dreading, but thankfully wasn’t too bad after taking it all apart. On top of that, we dropped our son off for his first sleepaway camp, and I’m constantly wondering how he’s doing. As of this post, we just dropped him off yesterday, and haven’t heard anything yet so still pretty anxious to hear how that first week goes!

As for things at NXL, Brad is continuing his vacation this week so Alex and I will be holding things down alongside a bunch of guests. On Monday, Will joins Alex and me to try some Mycopunks, which just went into Early Access. On Tuesday, Abby joins us to assemble a Crime Crew to see what we can get up to in Crime Simulator. On Thursday Mike and I continue our Total Warhammer quest to soak the lands in blood. Then for Friday, Alex and I are back to check out Donkey Kong: Bonanza, which, the more I see of it, the more I want to play!

Over on the Podcast front, Matt Rorie will be joining us for our Ramblecast this week for REAL rambling! Then on the NXL Podcast friend of the site Lex Luddy from Start Menu and Rewinder will be here to (hopefully) help me grapple with my feelings on Assassin’s Creed Shadows… which I think I finished? I think? Maybe that eventual DLC will help clear things up. The Watchcast is off this week, so go catch up on your Star Trek, but will return with a new episode next week!
