Wild Space sounds like Pulsar: Lost Colony. Ok, this is going to veer in touchy political stuff, but here is some context to the processor situation. It is actually a bit deeper than them not standing up to conservative worry groups. This stems from judgement and judicial process rendered during the MindGeek/Pornhub sex trafficking lawsuit a few years back. The courts found Visa also liable for the money made over content featuring unwilling or minors and forced them to suspend payments to all related activities. Because of the judgement and precedent set by the Mindgeek lawsuit, payment processors have been much quicker to drop potentially problematic providers of porn than risk another costly lawsuit and other possible penalties. Many conservative groups have been leveraging this to go after adult and other “perverse and harmful” (almost always meaning LGBTQ+) content. Funnily enough, when this strategy was tried against firearm manufacturers for illegal distribution of weapons, it was ruled that payment processors were not liable, nor were the weapon manufacturers in most cases. Funny that.
