I have a Bolt. The above 80%/below 20% shouldn't be a user concern for battery life these days. I do know that when I do long distance trips, charging up to 80% is basically 1-to-1 but getting that last 20% needs more juice in than what is saved (i.e. it's charging slower). So in that case, I'm 100% when I leave my house, then just go to 80% when I hit stops along the way. Also since mine is a Bolt, GM only configured it to do "level 3" 50KW max (~90 miles range/30 min, I'm stopped for an hour+) vs other cars/stations can go up to 350kW. Public charging I'm usually seeing $0.48/kWhr that seems to be ~$4/gallon coming from my 30 mpg Cobalt. But at home I'm ~$0.08/kWhr and it's ~$4/week for my normal weekly drives.

Don’t all modern EV manage the battery so you don’t have to worry about going below 20 or above 80? Is this Vinny just being Vinny?
