Highlands Miniatures Roadmap 2023

Ladies and gentlement, masters and younlings... today is the day.

First of all, we wanted to celebrate the community efforts and feedback in the defining Patreon Poll we did back in February to help us decide the future of Highlands Miniatures.

We are truly happy to admit that the desires of the community were well alligned with the idea we had for the future of Highlands Miniatures.

Now, let's dive into it!

The content coming this June 2023 was announced a few days ago, so there is no surprise here. The Sons of Ymir will be back once more to complete their forces and to bring some awesome miniatures -including several truly expected heroes- to this fantasy race.

As we told you several weeks ago, in a never ending effort to bring you the best quality miniature possible, we intented to update the old Sunland miniatures -and also bring new miniatures- through the Patreon Goals, but *oh surprise* Patreon has removed that feature from the platform itself, so there the Patreon Goal feature won't exist anymore. 

The fact that we have several miniatures already sculpted was also a decisive point to bring this intensive update this July 2023, as it will allow us to take our first real vacation -just a couple of weeks, nothing fancy- in almost three years!

So, for the following July 2023 we will see a complete re-sculpted Sunland Imperial Troops miniatures and much more!

Yes. The wait is over. Gallia will ride again in August 2023. The community has spoken and so we act.

For this very first set of miniatures we can already confirm the first cavalry set of miniatures, the Knights of Gallia, and several other miniatures to assemble a starting fantasy set for this incredible race.

And just as a reminder, Gallia was the option with more votes in the poll, almost five hundred (498) patrons chose Gallia as one of their desired fantasy races to bring back to Highlands Miniatures!

We also have a little "secret" for the people who don't want to wait till August 2023 for this fantasy race to come true... Check out the end of this post and join us in Kickstarter to get your hands on the greatest hero of all, Robert the Gallia!

In September 2023 we will continue working on Gallia to make sure we deploy a main force between these two months to print, paint and play.

More news about the specific set of miniatures will come when the time arrives!

In October -or as we usually call it here, Spooktober- we will take a break from the tight schedule to celebreate once more the undead season, a longlasting tradition here in Highlands Miniatures.

We will take a first look at the Eternal Dynasties fantasy race and will assist to the Rise of the Dunes.

Egyptian based undeads were one of Ramon's main favourites fantasy races when he was a kid and had zero to non money to purchase miniatures, so it was his dream to bring back this fantasy race in all its glory. Well, aside from the obvious, clear and economically driven reason... ehem...

In November 2023 we will see the brute force of the Orcs arrive to Highlands Miniatures to counterpart the valerous Knights of Gallia. The Orcs were the second most voted fantasy race after Gallia.

They will be paired with some mischievous Goblins along the way, to cause mayhem and distress in every medieval village.

What can you expect aftertwards?

We will continue working on Gallia and the Orcs and Goblins fantasy races at the same pace till both of them are complete, following the same approach as we have been doing since the last year with the Sons of Ymir and the Swamp Goblins.

We will measure again the feeling of the community after both fantasy races are complete to decide the direction of Highlands Miniatures afterwards!

To promote the arrival of Gallia to Highlands Miniatures we will launch a promotional Kickstarter composed of one single hero fantasy miniature, Robert the Gallia, to reach as many people as possible interested in this fantasy race.
