i think breather episodes are needed from time to time to take a break from the action. besides, seeing how our characters act in more normal events contrasts well with how we see them act in stressful and deadly situations.

Then i think romance animes tend not to go too far off course, but I dont really know if many people enjoy romance. Either way my suggestions would be Your Lie in April and Kaguya: Love is War. I think as people said you'll either appreciate it or nah but I feel it can be a good chill break after some heavy episodes while also developing the characters and adding humor (if it's your taste too). If it went on for episodes I would agree but one ep you might look back and be like good old times for JJK

It's good to know that you don't enjoy these types of episodes. Now us fans know what animes to recommend the next time you ask. Because there's definitely so many great animes out there that don't include these types of episodes.

And I can’t even describe how next level s2 is. I remember thinking this show was a solid 7.5 out of ten before reading the manga that came after season 1 like a year ago and it jumped to a 9.5-10 immediately. Everything after episode 24 in S1 is the real JJK with this season being a massive prologue (same level as AOT s1 to s2)

As different as this episode was, everything was canon and there was 0 filler material. All the stuff gojo saw during the game will be expounded upon

yes it is very much an anime thing to have a chill slice of life episode sometimes, especially after some crazy shit lol. I can definitely understand and agree with your critiques as it is a very weak episode compared to everything else the show has given us so far. That being said, this happens much much much less frequently in the following season

Side note. If you have Disney + and saw my suggestion for bleach as your next big series, then stories like this are exactly what I meant by skip filler. They’re even worse back then because they’re entire arcs that happen in all sorts of anime. But I’m sure there are plenty of us who are down to give you a canon episode list of whichever anime they want to see if you need direction 👍

😂💀 this episode happens in the manga too and I remember hating it when I read it 💀 the anime at least added some quality sound track and effects. But don’t worry Jon. We’re back in business next episode. I totally forgot to comment that the next episode is skippable if you don’t care on the last post.

This is very much an anime thing. 😂 You’ll either learn to love them or learn how to skip through them lol. Personally I have always loved episodes where nothing happens because I love to have more time with the characters and seeing their interactions in different settings!
