Rambly update while I paint lions

I totally helps to know I am not the only one, for the longer time I felt so dumb for not taking better care of myself, is always nice to know I am not alone in my struggle (:

Thanks for sharing this Fernanda. It's always nice to hear stories from an artist I really admire and hear about your work and your art journey. Especially the struggles. That must be really frustrating with your arm pain. I'm not sure if this is any consolation, but Loish has a similar injury and wrote a peice about it: https://blog.loish.net/post/80923191247/struggling-with-an-injury-story-and-advice I know that doesn't really help your situation, but I hope you feel less alone in dealing with it. Having a physical limit forced on you, as to how much you can do something you love is really unfair. Hope you do take that month off and give your arm a bit of a rest so you get back to making great art :)

This is such a beautiful painting, and I'm so eager to see the final work. I'm sorry to hear about your ongoing issues with your arm, but commend you for taking those breaks when you need them. I love the ideas you have for future classes too! I can't wait to learn more!

"being compassionate with our bodies" couldnt agree more!!, I think we so often forget that. Thank you so much for your comment (:

Aaaaa I loved watching this and hearing you talk about how things are going for you. I’m so sorry about your arm 😞 . Excited to see this piece finished and also all your other plans and tutorials. Please give a pet to you pug for me, he sounded adorable ❤️

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your drawing! It's looking amazing!!! Thanks for sharing this video! It's a lot of fun to hear your challenges and ideas. It's hard to hear from your trouble with your arm. My wife struggles with her back (ironic, since she's a yoga instructor). I always say that we just need to know the limits of ourselves, and do our best while being compassionate with our bodies. Anyhow, thanks for doing always your best! You're a true inspiration. Take tons of care!
