Hi everyone!
I know this month is on pause and I am taking a break in theory, but the moment I decide to take some time my brain is "but what about this idea?" lol, anyways I have been wanting to work on this sketch for a while.
I am still in that fantasy mood, I just love how you can have these imaginary, fairy tale like scenarios and still work with themes that are so realistic and every day like. So many classic tales or fairy tale ultimately are about the human condition and feelings or dilemas that we all encounter during our lives. Classic good vs evil, coming of age, love stories, family, etc etc.
The idea for this sketch is about a prophecy, which is this thing that is written for us and we feel we can not change. In real life I think, believe in what you will, I feel we could all feel sometimes like there is a path in our lives that we can not change, somethings are just not up to us, and we might want these things with all out might and is painful having to wait or trying to make them change with no success. I think the most devastating option is wanting something that is not on your hands, is up to "destiny", no amount of money or anything can buy it.
Just some thoughts, even if I am not actively working on a painting I am always daydreaming about stories and how I could put them into an image.
That´s all, I am excited to work on this and more monsters once we are back next month,
Fer
