New Video (Patreon Early Access) Tau Zero - Trapped in Time

The new video is live now, just for you. 99.9 % Finished I'd say.

This one’s about Poul Anderson’s Tau Zero, a novel where the starship Leonora Christine doesn’t just travel across the galaxy, but across cosmic time itself. It’s a story of momentum, isolation, and what happens when human beings ride physics all the way to the heat death of the universe.

Thank you, as always, for making these videos possible.

Fantastic video, really enjoyed sorta re-living that adventure. Always appreciate your videos, man. (And hey, thanks for including my comment even though I couldn't think of any examples that fit. 😅) A couple decades ago I went on a MASSIVE Poul Anderson binge. Back then I lived near a great used book store with a HEALTHY SF section that tragically went out of business, so I made a couple last runs as the discount rose, and I grabbed probably a dozen Andersons. My favorite, by the way, is The Enemy Stars (which was nominated for a Hugo, but lost to a deeply inferior book that I actively despised; they were even playing with some of the same themes about cultural stagnation. Ugh, one of the worst Hugo Award for Best Novel decisions EVER, about as bad as Among Others over Leviathan Wakes, c'mon!). Oh, and Stephen Baxter. Agree that Manifold: Time is a great recommendation. Time Ships (imagined as a sequel to The Time Machine) is a wild one, too. Not a recent read, but a wild loop through constantly resetting timelines by traveling through them.
