If I did another Big [100+] Gacha Batch, what would be appealing?
Added 2021-11-03 15:58:34 +0000 UTCThis is a big BIG maybe but I also want to do one again sometime. I'm open to discussion on this though, and I feel a bit out of date if there's been any big differences in gacha trends in the past few years.
Keep in mind when it comes to me drawing these:
-If priced at $10 - $15, then ideally I'm averaging under 30 minutes time per design (aka, they can't be too elaborate with things like clothing)
-By extension the linework is also fairly simple
-BUT there will still be some variation, it's just a lot of designs (3 - 10) may share the same exact linework.
-In regards to the above statement: It depends how many times I feel I can use a lineart and make what feels like it's own character (ie, plainer animals like lions may get more line variation vs. housecats who have a billion cool markings).
-For real-world animals, I tend to do my best to stick to natural colors. So on suggestions like "cats" or "wolves", I'm not saying I'll make purple alien cats! But extinct/fantasy animals may be quite colorful!
I will also add: if I did a variety batch, let's say even just lions/hyenas, then you could choose to roll "lions only" at no additional price to full randomness (but picking a specific lion from the batch will cost say, $15, compared to the random choice being $10)
With all this in mind, I don't see me doing a dog gacha batch, or anthro variety batch, that I'm ever content with, so they're 100% off the table.

I think perhaps if enough pattern ideas cross my mind, I might go this route! It sounds like a good blend of options, I'm only intimidated by coming up with enough like, cool unicorns lmao

2021-11-03 19:33:12 +0000 UTCLove the idea of a woodland creatures batch! It would add some species variety not just for us but yourself too so you're not using the same base for an entire batch! Also if it includes rabbits then it's definitely my favourite choice out of all of these ^^
