IMPORTANT : Subscription billing change
Added 2024-10-31 22:06:38 +0000 UTCHello hello ! Hope you've all been great and/or enjoying halloween with friends ! It's WFN, coming at you with some spooky news of my own ! Patreon's business rules are about to change, thanks to requirements imposed by the Apple Store, which they are legally required to obey starting this 1st of November.
Up until now, my Patreon account was set up to automatically charge subscribers right away on the day of the initial subscription, as well as every 1st of every month following the date of this first initial subscription. We were given the choice to opt for either this option, or to, alternatively, charge patrons for every day of of the month matching their initial subscription (if you first subscribed on the 4th of february, you will next be charged on the 4th of March, then 4th of April etc.) In order to comply and remain on the App Store, Patreon is now getting rid of this first subscription schedule, which I was using until now. We are then automatically being switched to the second billing schedule which I just described.
In a nutshell, from here on out, starting this 1st of November (tomorrow) and every single month thereafter, you subscription schedule will automatically switch to regular subscription billing. You will be charged as soon as you pledged to my page, as well as every 30 days following this initial date. Hope that makes it clear ! ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE ! Subscriptions purchased from the phone app are now automatically subjected to an additional 30% fee from Apple. Whereas the cost remains unchanged if you do so from the web page. It sounds absolutely silly, but it's the reality we must now face. So word of advice, please only subscribe to new creators/change your pledge tier from your web browser, NOT your phone ! You'll thank me later. Tell your friends if possible !

2024-10-31 22:15:16 +0000 UTCThe payment service does not influence the final cost whatsoever if the money sent is done so through the phone app. The App store itself is responsible for the 30% tax. You can subscribe from the web to receive no additional cost instead.
