let me be honest..... i dont think she can really write or "rap" on her own like if you are a rapper then you gotta write so i dont think she is really a rapper. I do think she is a great performer

I was extremely hyped for Lisa solo. And i felt a little let down. The songs are ok. Money for sure is a dancing type of song which i like. But i wanted Lisa to show a side of her that no one has seen. The rap could’ve been about her struggles and how she’s thankful for her parents etc.

3 full albums by now? Really? This is not how yge works. Bigbang have only 3 albums for 12 years .

that's basically what Blackpink is all about...blah blah blah, du du du....but YG is hyping and using this to the max and fans accept it

David let Danny talk. He’s not saying anything wrong. The song isn’t great. It’s a big disappointment for a lot of folks. I personally do not believe in pity praise. So I appreciate when Danny don’t be walking around on eggshells, scare to hurt these fandoms feelings. He can give his opinion and keep it respectful. I feel like BlackPink ain’t nothing but pretty faces to YGE. They put no effort into their music. We should be sitting on 3 full albums by now. It’s like with each come back it gets more and more repetitive. We should of FINALLY got to see Lisa. But nope. Same old. Same old.

I understand Danny perspective. Everyone has there own styles and preferences. I personally loved this song it’s something you just want to move to. A lot of people are calling it a “club banger” or “stripper anthem”. It’s very markable in the US and I think that’s the target. She still has to release her song with Dj Snake…

WOW this is my first time hearing this song, and this is SO MUCH BETTER. JEEEZ like it's might be not the best song on the planet, but in comparison to cookie cuter Lalisa, its a masterpiece. and it suddenly feels SO MUCH MORE PERSONAL. Like okay girl you like money? okay, i got you, you do you boo, it's great to understand whatcha love, i like money too! And i wanna twerk when i spend my dollar bills, like yeah, we have some connection between an artist and a listener here, and that's great. Even if it's so straightforward and stupid, this is what people look for in music and art, A CONNECTION. Like i wanna relate, and i don't relate to Lalisa being loudest in the room or having an attitude

I personally prefer this song more over her title track. I feel like they were going for Rihanna's BBHMM type of vibe since, from what I gather, Lisa is a fan of her but I agree on how repetitive it is. I mean they could've at least add more line on that second verse and I think the only way to save this song, for it to be bigger in the west, is when Lisa starts doing the choreography for it. But overall I like the song, especially the last part where the bass was going hard.

In YG all rappers write/wrote their lyrics, except for BP apparently. IDK why don't they let them, as if they're afraid they might fail. Other rappers in YG are all top notch and great (idk about treasure, am an old YG fan).

The song doesn't need to be everyone's favorite, but some of the comments are being overly negative and just hating. There's no need to be so rude about something that people have put hardwork into releasing. Also, blackpink is the only group that gets criticized to this extent about releasing catchy songs with fun lyrics or beat drop focused choruses.

Best song about Money would be by Dawn the lyrics are so different, unique but still kinda relatable and at least he wrote that song himself as you said maybe this kinda of lyrics are more appreciated in America

American here and I'll say this song ain't it. There is no way this would gain traction here in the states. The lyrics are weak ,the beat is wack. They could've done better for her. For all the hype I was expecting more. I feel like YG is getting lazy. Anyway, no hate for her as an artist because I believe she is great but I just wish they did something to show her full potential.

This song is so repetitive and lyrics are so corny like some generic western song. YG should have given her much better lyrics and songs. She is such a great talent and has been wasted here.

Hi Danny, My thought is same as yours. For me the lyrics are too shallow . Verses are repetitive. All she is talking about is money and how she flexes it. But the point is at this point in their career I don't think she needs to do that. Compared to the hype , I am not sure how I feel about it. YG could have done much better job with her as she is a really talented rapper. They could have flexed her rap style with some good ass lyrics. Just my personal opinion.

I totally agree with danny for both reactions. I mean they've been here for so long and when they release something they give a lot of repetitive verses. Just like "how you like that", i didn't like it because they spend more than half of the songs they keep repeating things. Also, i think being the rapper of the biggest GG, at least she should be writing her lyrics tbh. The writers are lazy af. Also they should get creative with names. Like when they dropped the first Solo they named it SOLO. then THE SHOW, THE ALBUM, LALISA. It's getting annoying. The girls got potential, unleash it. They already generated enough money, they should be now showing their selves and artistic sides more
