2021-09-28 00:14:25 +0000 UTCI hope people don't get butt-hurt from this comment, but when Chris Martin said BTS reached out to Coldplay, I felt the initial impetus was Jin. I know BTS as a whole are huge Coldplay fans but as a driving force for the big push, I felt it was Jin who asked for "Fix You" to be sung on their MTV Unplugged performance and for this collaboration. As a whole, when Jin asks for something, it benefits the group and he ends up learning something new even if it makes him work hard (In the SOOP - he asked for the fish tank so he could prepare sashimi from scratch, to feed the members). For baby ARMY, Jin appears to ham it up in front of the camera, but when you look through the whole of his time with BTS and see his growth, you'll find these wonderful moments when he's so caring and insightful. Just my opinion about how this came about, and it may not be true, but I'm glad the experience happened.

2021-09-27 19:06:38 +0000 UTCI hope they make more songs together. Chris and Namjoon's sentimentality and view of the world is so deep that any song they write would just be so meaningful. I can see them paving the way for Bangtan to show their depth and substance to the world in their own language. Definitely better than Dynamite, lyric-wise.

2021-09-27 12:40:48 +0000 UTCThis is probably my favorite BTS collab with a western artist. They are right the sincerity is felt when listening to My Universe. I love ColdPlay. I have not been the biggest fan of BTS’s title tracks/singles since Boy with Luv because of how much autotune/vocal processing Hybe/Bighit has been using. Its not a stylistic choice I enjoy. So I was so happy to actually be able to hear the members vocal tonality more clearly. I was honestly starting to forget what their raw vocals sounded like.
