Mnet seems to be working with SM a lot this year. Boa and Taeyong are judges on Street Fighter. A lot of people involved with GP 999 worked with SM or are former SM people. Tiffany of SNSD, Onestar is a vocal coach for several SM idols, Mihawk (dance master) is one of two guys who choreographed most of EXO's stuff. Utopia's choreography seems to have been done at Tapaha Dance Studio which is run by SM choreographers. I recognized the background cuz I follow Tapaha's Instagram page. Plus Chaehyun and one the girls that was just eliminated are both ex Trainees.

I just thought it was so weird they made a group w/o Dayeon go to her parents home/restaurant like ??? Never seen any of the other produce seasons highlight anyone as much as her and it's soooooo blatant

Im not sure I feel about them showing the girls the current rankings during the final rehearsals the day they are preforming. Cuz it could cause girls to give up or possibly motivate some girls to perform better to gain votes

Yeah I felt like those two have an out-of-place vibe in the bus ride especially Hikaru. Props to the Chinese members like Wen Zhe for making an effort to include them though.

That's why the staff said they had to choose the buses well at the start because they all go to different places so it was kind of luck - I also just realised that Dayeon is the only Korean and Hikari is the only Japanese member in Snake team; I feel like that teams dynamic was a bit weird cuz all the chinese members kind of stuck together

U+Me=Love team FYI Run BTS episode literally just went there, they posted the episode on Tuesday, this GP999 episode aired on Friday. Gosh, Seoul Sky is getting a lot of air time, international tourists will be panting to go there. The view is fantastic though, I imagine a show like Amazing Race will want to do a leg in Seoul and end up in a place like Seoul Sky - beautiful, especially at night.

It seems the younger girls have great affection for Choi Yu Jin, Kim Bo Ra and Kim Da Yeon who each have shown leadership and mentorship as well as the necessary skills (vocals/dance). I know Su Rui Qi has been socially adept throughout the show but hasn't taken on a leadership role; and none of the J-group girls have stood out with leadership/mentorship roles, possibly due to the language barrier - they really need to focus more on their performance.

i don't mind focusing on K members but not to drag J or C members :( to secure more spots! & i really want to have Dayeon & Bora together :(

Tbh, I think the visit to Dayeon's family was cute. It showed obvious favoritism but it was still cute. And I loved watching the snake team. Poor girls were unfortunate with their assigned mission but they were so effortlessly entertaining through it!

The only interesting thing in this episode was seeing the rankings without any benefits added to them

I don't know what MNet is thinking... Clearly Dayeon is their golden child but they made it off-puttingly clear with this episode. Like, people are already favorable towards her after Ice Cream and during the whole Cai Bing/Dayeon leader struggle from last episode. They don't need to do anymore, imo. But this time? They were practically shoving her down our throats and it leaves a bad taste, even if she's your one pick. (people DON'T like being so obviously manipulated) I'm afraid it's gonna backfire on them.
