Patreon Announcement on - Apology / Compensation Plan / Renewal

Hello Patreon Supporters, 

First and foremost, we would like to apologize to all of you for not delivering the promised perks for your pledges. There are no excuses for this situation, despite us being busy with Ramyun and Chill. As the project is now finished, we wish to start giving our full attention again to the DKDKTV Patreon members.

After investigating the missed perks that were due, we found out that we did not deliver 10 KSTEA lives, 4 Monthly Councils, 2 Watch Party Series, and Discord Chat participation since August. In order to compensate for your unfair treatment and losses, below is what we will be doing for you. We thought very hard about the compensation plan, so we hope it is somewhat satisfactory to an extent. Also, in this process, certain perks will be dismissed and Patreon will be renewed in a more realistic and sustainable way. 

Compensation / Renewal plan

KSTEA (missed amount 10 streams -> 2 months of $5) 

• Access to 2 Watch Parties($10 x 2) -> Danny 'Reborn Rich' / David 'Singles Inferno 2' 
• We will send all the links to the watch parties to the $5 tiers via Patreon message
• KSTEA will cover Kpop news, weekly, as usual

Watch Party(2 missed)

• Will do 2 watch parties for Dec, Jan each.
• Dec - Danny 'Reborn Rich' / David 'Singles Inferno 2'
• Jan - 2 more of your requests(leave them in the comments) 

Discord chat/Monthly Council

After reading all the complaints in the chat, and through several trials and errors, we have concluded that it is difficult for us to regularly participate and interact with the Discord chat. Thus, we tend to dismiss the Discord chat/Monthly council tier, but we will deliver the compensation within the chat until February.

In the meantime below will be the compensation. 

• Make up for the missed 4 monthly councils within Feb. 
• Dec 19, Jan 9, Jan 30, Feb 20 / all 11:59AM(KST) 
• Subjects on each council will be respectively - 'Apology, what changes from now on' / 'New years resolution & Channel direction' / 'Patreon Renewal, Channel Pivoting Progress update - DKDK, RNC, our lives' / 'Final farewell for   DISCORD members' 
• Permanent free access to the Discord chat afterward / Liberty to maintain or migrate the chat to another Discord server 
• Access to the whole catalog of Watch Partys for Ramyun and Chill Season 1, and the upcoming Season 2

Early Access

• As there is not much demand nor supply for this tier, we will just change it into 'general support', for those of you who want to simply support our journey of content creation. If you would wish to receive a refund, please let us know.

Up-front Year Pledge Patrons

• We will personally message you, and discuss on whether you would are ok with the compensation plan and continue your pledge, or either want a refund from us.

Besides the compensation and renewal, as a creator who has received so much love and support from every one of you, again, we would like to say that we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience, inconsistency, and unprofessionalism. Perhaps a new direction in content and the bigger scale/workload had overwhelmed us in focusing on both sides. We would just like you to know that we did not intentionally prioritize one group/project over another. As for a directional change in content, we will discuss this more in the monthly council in detail, but for non-discord chat members, basically, we will pursue bigger projects like Ramyun and Chill. We are not ditching K-pop as a whole, but we predict that we will not be doing DK NEWS as a regular series anymore. However, we have thought of some well-formatted/deeper quality Kpop content which will soon be presented to you after the New Year. So please stay tuned to check it out.
