Version Update: Test the New Features

Not sure why my comment was deleted. I was asking for help, but I figured it out. I'd recommend a disclaimer that when you click the vocal remover link, it opens in another tab, and THEN you login a second time from the far upper right, and there's an option to login via patreon. It's simple, but not entirely obvious. It would avoid people commenting with the same issue. Most people probably think it should work because they're in their patreon account, but it's a third party app. So grateful it works! It's a total music nerd's dream come true lol.

Hey, still loving your Vocal Remover, definitely the best one available. I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox, and it seems a lot buggier on Firefox. I get a lot of "chunk" errors when trying to play audio (not a huge deal, I mostly just upload and download the separate tracks, sometimes I like to preview but don't have to), and sometimes it randomly goes to the "Complete" screen with the check mark in the circle, like after you save either music or vocal track. For instance, I upload a song, it processes and encodes, shows the separate music and vocal waveforms, and I will click Save to save the music. It will show the percentage progress and then "Complete" with the check mark in the circle, then go back to the waveforms. Before I can switch to the vocal track, it will just go right back to the "Complete" page, and I'll have to go back to the main Vocalremover/next page, then go to my uploaded tracks, go back into the track and then download the vocal track. Minor annoyance, everything still works and I'm still very happy with your service. Just wondering if you were aware of this? Or if it could be something on my end in my browser settings? Thank you for the amazing work you've done to provide us with this service!

I'm not sure what you mean by the instrument track sounding "deadened"...All files I've processed sound exactly the same before processing quality-wise. As for the audio drop-outs, are you referring to the sections where the vocals have been removed? This is normal, don't forget that the audio that is being processed has already been fully mixed and mastered, everything is basically layered on top of each other and mixed as one file. There's only so much even AI can do to separate these layers in one file accurately, and this one does a bang-up job in my opinion. I've found this to help tremendously to reduce or even eliminate drop-outs: in an audio editing program (you mentioned Audacity), reduce the volume of just the vocals alone so that they are practically indiscernible to the naked ear, then mix them back into the music track. I've found that doing this will cover up most to all drop-outs to make the instrumental track sound almost perfect. You may have to play around with the volume at which you reduce the vocals to get a desirable result - quieter parts of songs may not even need any vocals mixed back in, whereas louder parts may need the vocals at a reduced rate of between 5% and 20% of the original volume. Hope this helps!

This new update is a huge improvement! Here are my suggestions for additional enhancement: 1. The instrument track sounds very quiet and "deadened". Is there a way to adjust this myself with your app, or am I better off using Audacity or similar to try to improve the tone? 2. There are occasional drop-outs (they sound almost like skips); an audience might not even notice if I'm singing well enough, LOL, but if they could be eliminated I would be super happy!

Did you add a timer or is this a server problem? I recieved an error, did it later on, worked, thought it was working again and it didnit again… at same time reg server worked. Then i waited 15 min. It worked again. Tried another. Not working. Then again im speculating. Its been working fine for months otherwise. Would appreciate it if you clarify. Oh maybe interesting to you: I often use vocalremover to remove noise, particularly road noise. My studio has a beautiful reverberant sound (old church), and is in the countryside, so pretty quiet, but we do get the occasional truck etc going past, and there is no way to soundproof it. If I am recording acapella voice, then I use your vocal remover to split the recording into voice and noise, then throw away the noise. It's incredibly good. If I am recording voice and a single instrument like guitar or harp, then I can use the 5 part splitter, the stringed instrument will end up in guitar, the voice in voice, and some or all of the noise will end up in "music" or "drums". Again, solves my problem! Is there any chance of you making a noise remover, that can split into "music" and "noise"?

Wow people really can't cope with navigating to /next . Amazing. I just want to say thank you for the *amazing* splitting quality in the latest (/next) version. I have an acoustic recording studio, in a beautiful 19th century church, where I record individuals and small ensembles "live", ie: all together, using multiple mics, not separately recorded tracks. I used to have limited options at mixing time, but now I can cleanly separate voices from instruments, and mix much more freely. Also I have changed how I do mic placement; I used to place mics for the best separation, having to trade off some quality, but now I just put each mic where I get the most beautiful sound, feeling confident that vocalremover will fix my separation problems. Thank you!

Issue when I want to download a part in WAV it downloads the track but it's going to a blank page and I have to return backward then to my tracks to go again to the parts to download the next part and so again until I have everything I wanted.... + a button to switch ON/OFF all tracks / or 1 track would be nice instead of to need to slide the volume off to get it Many thanks to you and again... happy new year!

It can be a lot of issues. Maybe you have to check your devices and cables. Maybe a mass problem, or you just have to turn the cable link into the device because a problem of connexion… Maybe try another setup to understand where is the problem.

Need help desperately. I have my song in mp3 with two audio channels separated (left is vocal / right is music). I got 3.5mm Stereo Male cable (goes into my laptop) that splits into two Dual 3.5mm mono male cables (left and right)  So left mono is for vocals and right mono is for music. But when one mono 3.5mm cable (left or right) is connected into external speaker (with stereo 3.5mm AUX input) there is no sound. I get sound only if i select mono option inside my laptop settings but then both mono 3.5mm cables  will play both channels together (vocal and music). Why ? How do i get connected my laptop to two external speakers using separate 3.5mm cables?

Hello. I no longer have the option to save mov files I edit. It was working the other day, but now after editing there are no save options. Edited to add this is a problem for me now with all versions. There is just no save options. Not even audio only. I was saving mov files, which is what I need. But then all save options vanished.

Awesome work man; i've used it for a while. Sometimes when i extract a vocal, there has been varying amounts of instrument bleed into the vocal stem... which isn't always a bad thing necessarily. I'm wondering if there's a way to modulate the amount of this in a future version? It might be difficult to control exactly which instruments are allowed to bleed into the vox stem, but I assume it would be overlapping frequencies... which means usually other synths or leads/guitars. Sometimes this is a nice addition to the vocal, but having a way to alter the algorithm's sensitivity to allowing this extra signal might be cool.

I would have went to see why I had more than one complaint about the problem we were emailing about... since from the tone of the "please just sign up" you were clearly upset...turns out I just had the wrong version... maybe you should put in quotations make sure you have updated version!

hi maestro! I found a bug trying to split in 5s (next generation tools) a track (in m4a) including piano, and the sounds gone bad like distorted for some frequencies and that's true that it's the same for every other files I've tried. The original file is high quality. + it would be nice to have a button permitting to download all parts in one go in wav. Can you do something for those things please?!

Just a shout out to the amazing work you've done. I love using this vocal remover - the results I get with 2.1a are sometimes just nearly perfect, about as close to perfect as one could expect. I've noticed less garbling/dropouts in the separated music, and the separated vocals sometimes sound absolutely flawless. Processing time is lightning fast, it's easy to use and I love the different algorithms available for different results. I'd like to see a little improvement with the Karaoke version, it seems to be 50/50 with the results. Sometimes I get perfect separation of two different vocals overlapped, sometimes it doesn't seem to recognize the two (mostly if it's two voices saying the same lyrics, even if it's clearly male and female vocals). It's still fun to play around with, though! Please keep up the incredible work! My vote for the best AI vocal remover on the internet goes to you!! I've used another vocal remover before and the results were okay, but they needed editing after the fact to make them sound close to good. No editing needed on about 99% of everything I get from here!

Also while im in queue in my acct, i got free to work off account/ip on cell phone… So idk if the server for accoungs down again but this happened 3x nights jn a row. There was a hardware problem. Already fixed. Normal queue time is in the range of a few seconds to 1 minute (if you are uploading 25 minutes of audio).

Thanks for your feedback, and I’m sorry about this. The next-version is still in testing and was originally running on just 2 servers. It worked fine until last week when the load increased (as not all patrons immediately switched to the new version), and issues started showing up. I added 4 more servers yesterday and another one today. These problems may still happen until the end of testing but I’m doing my best to get everything fully stable — thanks for your patience! 🙌

You should adjust volume you want to save to 100% and others to 0%. Then click save. Some users ask me to add the button 'Save all stems'. Another ones don't understand how to simply download an individual stem. I haven't decided how to make it more usable yet. But I'm aware of the problem

Hello, I'm starting to become very frustrated with your product. Continuously, your site has failed to process instrumentals, or takes forever to process and loses connection. I shouldn't have to spend money every month on a service that only works half the time. I agree with b.e. That queue is terrible. From 20 min I can't make one file which lasts one minute literally. The standard version is far far far quicker than the new one. Besides if we pay for something we expect it works even if it's beta. Maybe instead of uploading beta for tests it's better you will refine it first as with queue like 20 min or above the new vocal remover is unusable if not discouraging.

Lots to cover here. 1: Wheres the BPM? I used that alot, now I have to go to Tunebat 2: Why can't I save each track seperately? I have to turn each 1 down to be able to save all 4 tracks. Annoying 3: The splitting is actually really good tbh, its definitely better at its core function. 4: Not major, but the key is missing as well. Another thing that I have to go to another provider to grab (Or work out myself in my audio daw) Conclusion, this is an upgrade, with ALOT of inconveniences

One thing i would like to see about. Is there a chance we can get the same length file we send in, come out? I know a lot of us are using this and setting bpms to blend into out own work, or make mixes, but i noticed a lot of the daws set bpm based on length and the slight variations between the two files will have them in different times. Idk why this is but its common in nost daws Just thought id throw it out there idk whats possible on your end just thought id take a shot. For example. Usually i will find the bpm of real song, convert it for you, and then set bpm i found. But because the lengths are different, it is slightly diff setup. So it saves problems if they can just be same size what goes in, comes out.

Let me just take this opportunity to also say thank you for a really good vocal remover. Is there a way to separate music from background noise? I know it is mainly used to separate music from vocals. But what about a live performance of music that was recorded in a train station (for example?) I would like to clean this up and remove all the background noise and keep only the instruments. I know it wouldn't be perfect.

It's crazy how good this AI is becoming. I tried a HiRes release of Heart of Gold from Neil Young, and it was absolutely perfect (apart from the harmonica being recognized as vocals at some places, however that was when there were no lyrics, so I could easily manually fix it). It's so good in fact, that I can even hear the effects of (volume) compression: sometimes during singing, the instrumental sounds a little muffled, but there are no instruments in the vocal track. So it actually is this way 😅

Добрый день. Попробовала, как мне кажется, все версии. Что могу сказать. понравилось: 1) минус начал дышать, он перестал быть обрезанным по частотам. Звучание стало более глубоким и объемным, не плоским. 2) появился личный кабинет и в нем история. Это класс. 3) есть больше форматов для скачивания. Это лично мне не нужно, но многим пригодится. Минусы: 1) вокал все еще остается, есть его металлическое звучание в глубине минусовки. скажу больше, в новой версии этот вокал, который должен быть удален, звучит громче. 2) нет определения тональности (для меня это важно). А в старой версии было. 3) потерялись другие "примочки": изменение тональности (для меня это важно), сплитер, определитель BPM, обрезка и соединитель песен, диктофон, караоке.... Это за первые 15 минут, которые я провела в новой версии. И еще, я не нашла ни в одной версии возможность отделения бек-вокала. Часто нужен минус с беком. По мне так странно, новая версия должна не урезаться, а дополняться... или это черновой вариант?

Hey i just thought id let you know, if you could leave up the normal patreon version or provide a alt link for it in future as i think its still useful. For the past 2 months ive been using both for hip hop pulls and 2.0 gives the best DEEP pull of all the vocals, no doubt; however, sometimes in songs there are additional vocals inside the beat behind the main vox, or scratches and the like. Sometimes you want these elements, sometimes you dont. I find the patreon link is a perfect alternative to the deeper pull of 2.0. Ive consistantly noticed it will provide a balance and between the 2, PERFECTO🤌 If theres a date its coming off maybe you could let us know incase we have to rush to get thinga done and think ahead. I have like 10 examples of what I mean if youd like to see. Much love best thing ever.

Small bug: When using the new splitter tool, if you click play, but click pause while it's buffering, once it finishes buffering it will start playing. To pause it, you have to click it again which sets the button to play then click again to pause. I Haven't tested it with any other tool. You can probably simulate this better if you limit your connection to the service to make it buffer on your end.

I ran into the same issue at first, but it was user error. The pattern version has a different url - double check to make sure you're not still on the basic page that anyone can access. The default page will always lock you out, as it doesn't know if you're a patreon or not.

Here are my thoughts after having done an akbuk with both versions The beta experimental is noticably clearer and louder and better quality. It will get the accapella correct and sounding way fresher imo. Not even close. I see both versions its way louder and more oresentable with way less “drops”. For the main vocals this is the one imo. The default patreon version does tho, gets the smaller little aspects in songs. Like scratches and background ambience much more. Itll pick up on reverb and echoing voices that experimental will not. Because of this i normally will use experimental for the main vicals and then only use the default when i need scratches/background that isnt getting picked up and then just cut around both. Both are good for what they do and tbh i doubt you could achieve both at same time that crystal without losing quality. Because of you i decided to turn me and my friends 20 years of non stop music into something and got things going well. Youre a legend. Seriously man no exaggeration. Ty. Great service.

First thing: BRAVo for your tools. I love them and the work you're doing to get the better part of it. If I can give you advice : you should do something about the uploaded file to keep it until we don't need anymore (by uploading another or after 20mn (or so) of non-using it again. Your web app is giving tools for an uploaded file, you should do the inverse : to upload a file and using it for tools of your web app, so we don't have to upload again until we are okay with the result of our need (or tests for you too). 👍 BTW if you need help with French language, I can! I do have another question, though: Is it a pipe dream or will/is it possible to separate the main Vocals from any backing vocals. That really would be brilliant. For my last set of stems I first used the Beta Patreon version to split the track into stems, and after that put the "Music" Stem through the "old" Patreon version with "Guitar" split. Again, I really hope that, when the new official Version comes out that you will add the Guitar split option again.

I tried the new experimental version with a vocal that the patreon version didnt catch. It was NOTICEABLY cleaner, and caught the synth hiding behind the vocals. I had no idea these versions sounded this much better as I had been usung the patreon one this whole time.. i will start using this and report with my findings overall later. So far so good tho! Thank YOU! Also just one thing I thought of. Even when the accapella info is off its extremeley helpful atleast getting it in the general area for me to figure out. It would save me time if it was just saved into the filename itself instead of me having to rename them after dl. Just a suggestion.

Hello. I do have a problem/complaint about the Beta Version: 1) Why no guitar split, and will it be added when the final version will be released? Since I'm making 5.1/7.1 Multichannel Mixes from the stems it would be really important to me. 2) Why is a simple export of the stems not possible in the Beta, like it was before, but one has to pull down the channels that should not be exported, keeping only the volume of the one that one wants?

Hi I tried the same sample on both the old and the new version. The new version failed to recognise and split out the bass at all and did a worse job on the vocal. I can supply the sample for you to test yourself if you like, its only short.

I love the 2.0 version, its superiority over the previous version is unmeasurable. I know that this is pre-release version, but I want to suggest 2 things - what I liked about the previous versions were 2 things: (1) you could see what song is currently processed - sometimes I come back to my computer and see only the waveform not knowing what song this is, (2) you could upload next song over the currently processed song - I mean that you could drag and drop a new song over the song that is already processed (and playing e.g.); currently if you try to do that, the browser (Chrome anyway) just opens the dragged song in a new tab and plays it.

Less a comment on the new algorithms of 2.0 or 2.0a and more of a comment on the design and layout. The new app version save procedure is less than ideal. I liked having the menu options automatically listed for saving the vocal track, music track, or whatever the sliders were mixed to in the old version. The new version forces you to move the sliders down to zero in order to save one or the other. Functionally there's no difference in the end result, but it seems odd to have to do that now when we didn't have to before.

Vocal remover 2.0 and 2.0a are now much better and cleaner than the original. 2.0 leaves a slight reverb effect, which I like. 2.0a doesn't seem to have that. They are different but I think actually work pretty well stacked on top of each other. Great work!

The new version is an overall improvement, but the most important feature for me is the ability to isolate guitars from the other instruments. I don't see that as an option.

Feedback on v2.0, I have run a handful of tracks that v1.0 left vocal residual on and v2.0 has completely isolated and removed those artifacts. I'll post a list of tracks tested shortly.

this is some nice work, I appreciate you allowing us to test the experimental versions :) v 2.0 is, in my listening, superior to all the other versions and both 2.0 versions are far superior to the one that existed until now, so thumbs up there! I've tested it on 5 different songs and while I was super-pleasantly surprised by how well voice extraction worked on Bombfunk MC's electronic Freestyler, the 2.0 version is still lacking in filtering out some of the echo from songs like Gigi D'Agostino's Bla Bla Bla or in Faitheless' Insomnia also, Barbie Girl would, on the other hand, filter out too much with the voice, so the instruments sound distorted other than this, I have nothing but prase from an ordinary listener point of view

vocal isolation on the 2.0 model is a thing of beauty, the "s" have great clarity and aren't over compressed or filtered which is more likely to happen in the other versions. 2.0 is my fav out of all four.

My constructive feedback: the 2.0a model is inferior in terms of accurate vocal isolation. Also, a big downside to the 2.0 model is that it sometimes processes bass frequencies wrong, thus making the low end sound different from the original song. Almost like the bass gets downsampled. The kick drums on rap music suffer from this the most, but the rest is praiseworthy; the vocal isolation is top notch, even on songs where artists use vocal elements as instruments(for example, Travis Scott - Stargazing). It is capable of differentiating actual vocals and background vocals from vocals used as percussive elements or synths. I hope the next splitter model also features more accurate drum separation and music clarity than the original model. 9/10

Testetd and compared,the vocal extraction on the "experimental" setting is quite good but far from what the latest BS-RoFormer vocal extraction is able to do.On the plus side: Your splitting works reeaally fast compared to mdx,demucs and BS-RoFormer.I am curious to see whether you'll be able to improve your splitter,it could be better than Demucs v4 which would be something. I'd love to have a drum splitter model,too

after uploading a track, it finishes the upload process, but then an endless "connecting..." message pops up. This is present for every model, including old ones. Basically, we can't get to the separated stems screen. Additionally, on the track list each uploaded song appears as "idle".
