I don't think most people will loose attraction for a character unless they truly did something horrible. Which none of the girls did. I think the discouragement you saw was from choices and circumstances.

It is one thing to be interested in learning about your pass and desire the family that you never had. But to throw you have away for someone who clearly showed that he didn't value family in the same way. Maybe he did changed maybe he didn't. That doesn't stop him from being a killer that must face justice. There is more to that then what I'm willing to get into. However, Malena wasn't wrong and she was clearly triggered. Hard to fault a trauma victim for having an emotional reaction. Doubly so when she will give an apologies when called.

2025-03-03 05:29:45 +0000 UTCJamie should take the teaching job. He simply waited to long. If you are own her path, the MC had to admit to himself that he likes her, when pressed by his friends. Of course, he wasn't ready to accept that kind of love yet. You can not be a head of where you are within your growth. So, they both waited and grow closer as friends in the meantime. Then she got the job offer. Now the MC must love her in the same way that she loved him. The saying "if you love something let it go" can be applied to both the MC and Jamie with in their relationship.
