How to get your proper Discord role
Added 2022-07-28 12:52:33 +0000 UTCPatreon used to automatically integrate membership tiers into Discord, so simply becoming a patron with the same email as your Discord email was enough to give you the proper roles.
However, they (apparently) stopped automatic Discord integration without telling Patreon creators because it no longer works.
I mean, seriously? A little warning would've been nice.
*sigh*
Anyway, to get the proper Discord roles, you simply need to connect Patreon to Discord via the Patreon settings. On Patreon, go to "Settings > Connected Apps" to enable the integration. I asked a couple people test it (thanks Evan and poutnikl) and that's all that's needed to get access to all the channels you should have access to.
I'm sorry you all had to deal with this, especially since the Discord roles were part of the tier rewards when you signed up to Patreon. (I just changed the tier descriptions and welcome messages so future patrons will know to connect them manually.)
