Happy end of the month my darlings!

I hope you had a great July & are looking forward to August.

This photo set was created earlier this month in my Tea room. It was shot by Sean (@iamshotbysean on IG) and edited by me because I’ve been having a really rough month and hadn’t had the time/capacity to tell him which ones to edit & once I realized it was already the end of the month I asked him if I could just knock out a light edit on them & he said yes.

My grandma passed away earlier this month unexpectedly & it’s been a whirlwind making arrangements while also finally having that gallery show I’ve been working on for a year come to its culmination.

I’ve been building 4 massive interactive sets for the show that a photographer hired me as a set designer for and WOW was I ever in over my head & of course day one of installation the week of the show I hurt my knee loading set pieces into the freight elevator.

BUT the actual event went great and everyone loved the sets I created and people were just living in them all night.

You all have seen the mushroom & cloud set I made for the show. The two other I meant to shoot in but didn’t end up having the opportunity to unfortunately.

It’s just been one thing after another this month - when it rains it pours I guess.

But I’m hopeful for brighter things to come in August.

Ok back to this set -

The floor in my tea room is in terrible condition because I painted the floor pink & then moved the furniture back in the next day when you’re supposed to wait a month for it to dry but my ADHD brain of course didn’t realize that part lol so it’s in rough condition and I just spent the entire day editing out all the paint peels & once I get back from seeing my dad in Denver I’ll be re-painting that floor fueled by the editing rage I went through lol

I hope you enjoy this set & I wish we could all have a big tea party with cherry cake after this wild month it’s been!
