(He’s baaaaaack! Yay! 🥰)
Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, and Ron Desantis, the governor of Florida, are both SHOCKED--shocked, I say--by what's being taught in our public schools, so they're trying to pass laws telling the teachers what to teach.
Numero Uno: Isn't it a basic belief of the Republican Party to "keep the goddamn government out of our schools"?
Numero Two-o: Doesn't the educational knowledge base change and evolve, and isn't that why we have scholars who keep up with it? Ron should know this--he went to Yale. Greg should know this--he went to Vanderbilt.
Numero Three-o: Greg entered the public school system of Longview, Texas, in 1963. Ron entered the public school system of Dunedin, Florida, in 1984. Maybe the scholars found some new stuff by now? Maybe 🤔 it's filtered all the way down to even Longview and Dunedin?
