We're coming up on the three-year anniversary of Covid, and here's what I've learned so far:
1. It's not spread through the air.
2. It's spread through the air.
3. Masks are not necessary.
4. Masks are mandatory.
5. Any cloth mask makes us safer.
6. Only the KN95 mask makes us safer.
7. The Omicron is milder than the original strain.
8. The Omicron is often deadlier than the original strain.
9. Ventilators are needed to save lives.
10. People who are put on ventilators almost always die.
11. There's a shortage of ventilators.
12. We're not using ventilators anymore.
13. Herd immunity will be reached when 65 percent of the country is infected or vaccinated.
14. There's no herd immunity.
15. Rapid tests don't work.
16. You can't come in unless you get a rapid test.
17. All schools should close.
18. All schools should open.
19. People who travel at holidays are irresponsible super-spreaders.
20. We can all travel without KN95 masks.
21. Covid is over.
22. Covid is not over.
23. Covid is no worse than the seasonal flu.
24. Covid can still put you on your ass.
25. Vaccinated people don't get Covid.
26. Vaccinated people get Covid.
27. Young people don't get Covid.
28. Young people get Covid.
29. Young people don't die of Covid.
30. Young people die of Covid.
31. The U.S. is better prepared for Covid because our big pharmaceutical companies created the most effective vaccines.
32. All the countries of Europe, Africa and Latin America trust the American vaccines more than Americans do.
33. 6.7 million people died of Covid, but most of those were in the first year.
34. Most of the 6.7 million dead peple died in the most recent year.
35. Oh well.
