Joe Bob Celebrates The Last Drive-In 5th Anniversary

None of us can believe we are still doing this after what was supposed to be a one night special event. Thank you so much for supporting Joe Bob’s return…The Drive-In Will Never Die!

The 5 years of TLDI has been fantastic, but in reality it's the continuation of what began in for me in highschool after my older brother introduced me to Drive-in Theater. Even tho we have never met, it's like sitting down and watching movies with one of my closest life long friends. Thank you for all that you do. It means so much to so many, and I have no words for how much you have contributed to my life over the years.

Thank you Joe Bob and Darcy for everything you do and all the time you and the crew put into every little thing, love you both! And love you too Mutant FAM! I've seen How the Rednecks Saved Hollywood twice and I'll show up no matter what you guys are doing when you roll into town because the Drive-In will never Die! Not sure if JB had this in mind but: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdyGi19OBeI Here's the 31 minute fan edit version of the main theme for Cannibal Holocaust

We love you more.

Thank you Joe Bob and Darcy for keeping our lives full of questionable creatures, arcane knowledge, and a love of drive-in movies.

🖤🖤🖤

this made me tear up! I feel so lucky we have this space and this place for us to all gather around. I love imagining Darcy celebrating during the crash of the first marathon because she knew what it meant, while JBB was worrying about people's experience being able to tune in. This message is so lovely and captures my love for JBB, Darcy, Austin, Yuki, John and the whole crew - and all the Mutant Fam

I'll never forget going to Frightmare 2019 and, comically, being informed that I was cutting in line. 3 times! It snaked a good ways around the room. Broken up for safety purposes. Only then did it hit me how huge JBB was. I came from the Monstervision era. Loved the columns (Vegas Guy!) and it's just a blast to see this thing be even bigger all of these years later.

Love your show and the obscure and irreverent presentations with fresh deep insights , the colorful characters , guest who make it the perfect Reese’s Cup blend . I may at times be the grouch you refer to, my occasional discourse and dissent does not blind this fan to the overwhelmingly unique and great efforts from JB and all who contribute to The Last Drive-In . This is the best incarnation of Joe Bobs show !

I have this on my Google calendar so I can remember each year :)

The Drive-In will never die - and neither will our love for you and Darcy, JB. Keep 'em flying!

Been watching JB since I was 13. Adding in Darcy and the gang makes it even better. Love you guys never stop

Congrats on five years and we love you! I look forward to the Last Drive more than any other show before or since.

Anyone remember the slack group page for joe bob? I bet those mutants are hitting it hard tonight for the celebration

And we love you too, Joe Bob and Darcy and entire Crew People! Big thanks to you all, and I will see you in five weeks and one day on August 19 in Sacramento for your Rednecks show!

Thank you, Joe Bob and Darcy!

Love you too JB! The best part of my week is knowing that on Friday you, Darcy, John and Yuki and everyone else behind the scenes will be waiting to hang out and watch weird beard movies. The drive in will never die!

We love you JB. There really isn't much more to say on that. God bless you and thanks so much🍻

We do all love you, and I'm so glad this is a thing. Thank you Joe Bob , and Darcy

Our family wants to come through this screen and hug ya! We love you and treasure everything you do for us (everyone). It is such a joy to share peace and love of these films. We just pregamed with the kids and watched your Popcorn Halloween episode again. As soon as they saw Derek Rydall they said "It's the Phantom of the Mall!" That's what it is all about. Again, thank you!

It's not just the movies we want to see. It's you, Joe Bob. You make any movie fun to watch. You and the whole crew. It's been a hell of a ride and I have loved every minute of it. Thank you for being there when we needed a friend on Friday nights and seeing us through some trying times.

We love you Joe Bob! The revival has taken me back 20 years and every Friday I’m back in high school. The Drive-In will never die!

Love you too JB and congrats to you guys on the milestone! I constantly try to spread the word to others on how great TLDI is. Opened me up to looking at movies and art in a different way. And I love the history lessons too. Its not just a show its a friggin journey! Heres to the next 5 years!!!!
