J'espère que vous allez bien. Avec l'annonce de la nouvelle version de Off, j'ai eu un afflux de nouveaux patrons, et j'en suis très reconnaissant, bienvenue à vous tous ! Cependant, cela me pose une certaine contradiction : les précommandes du jeu étant déjà ouvertes, je suis sur le point de toucher les pourcentages qui me reviennent sur les ventes, et cela va beaucoup m'aider pécuniairement. Je n'aurai donc possiblement bientôt, et pour une certaine période, plus besoin de vous demander votre aide matérielle pour continuer à travailler sur les projets qui m'intéressent.
Ce compte patreon ne sera donc probablement bientôt plus utile pour moi, économiquement en tous cas. Et à vrai dire, si c'est le cas, je préférerai en effet savoir que vous utilisez votre argent pour aider d'autres artistes, d'autres projets ou même vous offrir à vous même un petit café en plus chaque mois, plutôt que de continuer à me l'envoyer à moi.
Ces pensées ne sont actuellement que ce qu'elles sont : des pensées. Je n'ai pas décidé officiellement que je fermais mon patreon, et sachez par exemple que votre patronage en cette fin de mois de janvier me sera bien utile ! Mais je commence à réfléchir à ce que je pourrais faire ensuite, comment possiblement remplacer le Jurnal, par exemple en le transformant en newsletter, ou en revenant à une autre plate forme sociale, par exemple Tumblr pourquoi pas.
Je vous en reparle bien vite, et en attendant, je vous remercie de tout mon coeur pour votre soutien, qu'il soit ancien ou tout récent.

I hope you are well. With the announcement of the new version of Off, I had an influx of new patreons, and I am very grateful for that, welcome to you all! However, this poses a certain contradiction for me: the pre-orders of the game are already open, and I'm about to receive the percentages that come to me on the sales, and this will help me a lot financially. I'll therefore possibly soon, and for a certain period, no longer need to ask you for your material help to continue working on the projects that interest me.
This patreon account will therefore probably soon no longer be useful to me, economically. And to tell the truth, if that's the case, I would indeed prefer to know that you're using your money to help other artists, other projects or even to offer yourself a little extra coffee each month, rather than continuing to send it to me.
These thoughts are currently just what they are: thoughts. I haven't officially decided that I'm closing my patreon, and know for example that your patronage at the end of January will be very useful to me! But I'm starting to think about what I could do next, how to possibly replace the Jurnal, for example by transforming it into a newsletter, or by returning to another social platform, for example Tumblr why not.
I'll tell you more about it soon, and in the meantime, I thank you with all my heart for your support, whether it's old or very recent.

Je sais que Off a une grosse communauté hispanophone, si il n'y a pas de traduction officielle, je pense que personne ne sera contre l'idée d'un mod. Mais dans tous les cas cette nouvelle version n'a même pas encore de date de sortie !

Honnêtement, je trouve que la version originale sur Steam devrait déjà intégrer l'espagnol officiellement, car même si ça ne semble pas être le cas, la communauté hispanophone d’OFF est vraiment immense. Mais bon, si une version officielle n’est pas possible, il faudra bien se débrouiller par d’autres moyens, hahaha. Bonne continuation !

Honestly, I hadn't even thought about the fact that your most popular project had always been free to download, so despite having a sizable cult following, it never directly contributed to your financial stability. (And no offence to Dr. Cataclysm, but I sincerely doubt that sales of its physical copies were keeping the lights on). Good on you for finally "getting the bag" (as kids these days say) and capitalizing on your legacy! If you do decide to close your Patreon, I'll miss seeing your monthly Journals (though turning them into a newsletter or a blog is not a bad idea, either)! Oh, by the way: is there any word on the new translation(s) OFF will be receiving? Most of your anglophone audience probably discovered the game through the fan-patch made by RecDra, DismalUprising and 3upmoon, but now that the game is getting a legit international release, I assume you'll hire a professional translator? Will the game be translated into other languages besides English? Just asking out of curiosity. (Oh wow I am a fool. I just checked the website and it says it right there: it'll eventually have a Japanese translation, too. What a blunder! Sorry.)

It used to feel criminal to play OFF for free, since it was so good, but now I get to rectify that. Like you said, it's another way to support you I guess. I wish you economic freedom. Also, the Tourment comic looks good! I really enjoyed Dr. Cataclysm and was wondering if you'd ever make another comic. I bet it will be a fun time.

I'm genuinely going to export these and make commander decks out of them. I'd also like to echo sharkme's comment! Wherever you end up, we'd all love to see more. You always do such amazing work.
