The Scavick - February's first creature release

Hey everyone! Hope you all made it out of January okay and are ready for the stirrings of spring…unless you’re as far north as we are up here at Sol’Kesh and are still in a deep freeze. Thankfully the first critter of the Sol’Kesh Speculative Evolution Bestiary this month has a bit of fur to suffer it.

Let’s start things off by the lowliest but most successful of scavengers, the Scavick, this voracious pack scavenger can be found in nearly all biomes on Sol'Kesh, climbing, crawling and swimming wherever easy prey or a moldering corpse can be found. Their less than savory lifestyle results in a nasty poisonous bite and hide of quills, which comes in handy for some hide-bound armor.

The second creature, the Ricatrillisk, looks to be a fearsome insectile nightmare, but really it’s one of the more beneficial creatures in the Sol’Kesh western woodlands, climbing to the highest trees and gnawing out any malignant fungal growths. Though when disturbed will lash out violently with those hooked bladed limbs.

And like every month I’ll be adding wayward sketches and early creature post previews throughout the weeks  to give you all some special access content to the world of Sol’Kesh and the bestiary book I’m writing for it.
