Fortress Builder WIP

a quick post about the progress of the last days. In a nutshell I am getting very excited abou the new sets :)
I have added some more prototype modules, the last one some bends, so we don't have to go in straight lines and 90° corners all the time. I also tried a more flat roof for the gates and tower tops but not sure yet which one is better - this one or the one in the last post. Then I made some stairs in case you want a more elaborate way of going up and down than the ladder I will add via texturing. For the dice tower I want to make I will try to make the inside something you can remove from the skin or at least have the interior reuseable for other versions.
On another front, for the market stalls I have made some crates and boxes for vendor stuff. So that path is advancing too :)
So there is some serious texturing to be done the next days and weeks! Which is a great phase for me and I look forward to it.

Okay :) I'll wait no problem, knowing that it isn't off the desk is a huge step forward for me :) I saw the WIP photos in some forum a while back. :D

2021-04-06 16:30:29 +0000 UTCI have plans to make more "Savage Settlements" houses for Orcs and similar civilizations. One of the reasons I am doing the Dark Age fortress is to get experience with such a set to then do a more "wild" variation of it, suitable for the Orcses. Also I have a half done large Orc Hut that I plan to redo. I have the roof finished but was never happy with the walls texture. I think I am getting to the point where I can pull off what I want to do. About when ... realistic would be somewhere starting in autumn.

I know you are busy working on this and other Viking themed sets, but as a prowd owner of your fantastic tribal set is there a chance you might expand on these further down the line? I just can't find anything for Orc, Gnoll, Goblin, Lizardman, Bullywug etc. village wise. Sure the huts look great, but don't make for a full detailed village :).
