Palisade Bits WIP

Ladies and Gentlemen,

with the first DAFB set released I have started working on the next modules and of course on this months Basic Bits, which will be palisades fitting for the Dark Age setting and many others too.

Here's a little GIF showing the options I have packed into the front side of the palisades. I will do some backside options too. These will be 2D walls that you can cut out in different lengths and place either with my classic papermini bases or some other holding devices. And I will make some connector part that will also help conceal the seams and probably allow for placing the walls without any other help if the wall line is somewhat curved.

I have also started working on the bend modules for the Dark Age fortress. You have seen the 60° bends before and I have added 90° corner bends too. I have textured the first one and did a little test to see what kind of curving you can get into your fortress walls.

So even without the towers and bastions you should be able to get a lot of different shapes for your fortress. I will add the bends into the first set as soon as I have them done as a free upgrade for all who have bought it already. Once I add them I will raise the praise of the set a little to reflect the added modules. Originally I have planned the set configurations a little different but looking at it now I can see they just belong to the walls! :)

If you want to go more experimental, I found I could do this interesting shape with the modules (ignore the "wrong" ones on the left side - I just haven't built the right amount of right side prototypes yet). I think there is a lot of room for kitbashing!
