"Orc Hut" WIP

Ladies and gentlemen,

today I can show you my ideas on the roof variations. With the shape of the basic roof I am planning to have different options as "toppers". You can always go with "just the main roof" of course but to add variation options I will have different topping parts.

This first one is a little raised roof version (that should work well for a chieftain or other important inhabitant). I also have a raised flat roof planned and a simple cover for when you don't an open roof (because rain and storms?).

I have to reverse the shadow info on the protruding bits of the roof as I noticed they are the out of sync with the rest of the model :)

So once I got all this done we will basically have four different roof looks which should be enough for any settlement on a gaming table! I do have an idea about another roof version that is curved upwards towards the center but I will first complete this one with all the options first.

On the walls I have added some ornament options "painted on" and I think I will also add this option to the roof simply because you will much better see it there. It's all optional anyway so you can decided were you want them to be seen in the end!

Next steps will be to add all the roof options missing and then clean up the roof file. After that I will tackle the interior wall option and then I think it's time to get ready for release. I cannot believe how long this model took from initial conception to the final release. Feels like ages :)

The small huts in the "Savages Settlements" series were released 5 years ago ... so it's really time to get more housing options on the table. If all goes well we can start thinking about other structures to add for this setting.
