The Outpost series has a name: Grenzwacht!

Ladies and gentlemen,

die upcoming sets with the outpost theme just got a name. I will call them the Grenzwacht series. In German this means the-guard-on-the-border!

So the Tower set is very close to finish as you can see from the promo pic. I have added an optional moss roof layer ...

... and included a "Dark Tower" skin option for your not so light-forces!

A couple of color modifiers (the usual plus some color tints) will give you loads of options to customize the look of your tower. Speaking of customizing ... the DELUXE edition will contain fully configurable window and door options. The bottom door is the fortified version you see in the pic. The upper floor door that would lead to the balcony of the armory building will be a regular arched door. The middle and upper windows can be narrow ones and the upper floor can have arched windows.

As one of the last steps I added an upper chamber module in case you want to have a top level with roof!

So overall I think this will be a very versatile introduction set to the series!

I have yet to compile the instructions PDF and make the cut files but I am hoping for a end-of-week release.

Obviously the next steps will be making a couple of bits like simple walls, weapon racks and bunk beds for the barracks build and then the barracks/armory building itself! And after that I have a little stairs expansion planned for an alternative entrance to the building.

And after all that there are many options, like water wells, stables etc. leading up to full fortifications/castle modules. So I think I am on an interesting road for a while.

I am still going to do the Viking knarr and faering boat somewhere inbetween! But first I have to finish the tower :)

I got hit by some lower back pains last weekend, just in time to remind me not to overdo it and keep moving my old body rack :) But this has happened so often that I think I am swinging back into action very efficiently! Just need to get some rest, go on my daily morning walk and just do bits at a time. The challenges when you love what you do!

That's it for today. Until the next time, stay safe and keep building!

Chris

Thanks :) I think town in general will be a main direction for me for the next years ... with some ships and exotics in between!

God tier work. Perfect for my upcoming townbuilding campaign. Can't wait to buy'n'make!

Thanks! I hope it will look great on the table too. Esp. when the next module hits the gaming mat so to speak :)
