Ladies and gentlemen,
the past days I have worked on an interior build to see if there was anything missing and how it went together. As you can see in the pics it works really nicely. With this test done I will now go into release preparation mode ... check the files, split them up (right now it's two huuuuge files with all parts and thousands of layers :) ) and make sure everything is ready for release. I have taken pics during the test builds so I hope to get the instructions done too soon. One thing I want to add is extra parts for the doors, windows and corners if you want to double up those details. This could make a gorgeous build if you are prepared to put in the extra work!
The barracks level looks great filled up with bits. I have used the new bunk beds and same tables, seats and crates from previous bits. For the armory floor I have decided to dress the walls with weapon racks that have the wooden background printed at 80%. The second weapon rack for bows and halberds will be released soon. For other bits I will look into armor stands or special weapon stands in the future to give more options for the armory.
Once I have done this set I will look into walls. Either as very simple (but well textured) 2D parts or maybe even a more 3D version like I have done with the Dark Age Fortress. The current buildings will need some defensive structures to properly guard the border of the realm!
Regarding our apartment: we are back in Vienna alright but our kitchen and living room remains a construction site. Apparently the manager of the repair process forgot to check that part with insurance so now we are waiting for the OK. Sadly we had a big wave of bad weather in Austria so all the insurances are dealing with emergency cases first, so I expect it to go on for a while until they will look unto our case. So sleeping works, the work room - although filled up quite a bit with stuff - is also usable but for food we have to be creative! I always try to remember what the Dalai Lama said about unpleasant situations "This too will pass ..." :) ... but I will be very happy when all is back to normal!!!
OK that's the news for today. I you have feedback about the current or future builds or ideas for more bits ... let me know in the comments. Until the next time, stay safe and keep building :D
