Millions of unfortunate European citizens chose to leave their home during the years that followed the destructive civil wars of the continent; Claudia’s was amongst them. Like many recent university graduates, the young woman was faced with few job prospects in an impoverished France, and the shadows of conflicts were still looming over the horizon.

At the time, America’s executive branch, under intense pressure by Republican politicians, had once again enacted laws to promote waves of immigration from Europe. However, this altruistic move was taken in conjunction with the introduction of tariffs and travel restrictions against many other countries, and particularly those of the SCO bloc. It was the dawn of a new Cold War.

Nevertheless, Claudia was (and still is) a young idealist. Tempted by the promises of the American Dream, she decided to leave her Provencal hometown of Marseille in an attempt to make a name for herself in the New World.

Unfortunately, the hope of rapid success soon became a fleeting idea, for her as for so many other young women fresh off the boat. To this day, Claudia still refuses to describe in detail the years she spent in-between her arrival in the US and her first visit at the Altagrande.

Claudia was thus initially hired as an exotic dancer at Sappho’s Island, but her fate entirely changed when she chose to stay the night with a member of the Society, in one of the rooms of the luxurious resort. Proximity with the jewelry of the man, coupled with passionate lovemaking, completely overloaded both participants in a Resonance Loop.

This singular event, deep within the heart of House Altaria’s headquarters, quickly aroused the curiosity of its leaders. Recognizing the psychic potential of the young woman, they proposed to grant her a position as a trainee of the organization. Claudia didn’t spend too much time hesitating before she accepted this offer, though she was not given many details about her condition at the moment.

While she often appears naive and vulnerable, Claudia is much tougher than she looks – the result of past events in her life. Nevertheless, she refuses to let negativity get the better of her, and will do everything she can do to maintain a cheerful mood, which may annoy some. Still, she remains an honest and determined companion, who will most likely one day become a distinguished member of the Society.

Despite classes and practice, Claudia continues to be challenged by some aspects of the English language. Thus, she will often revert to her native French tongue during conversations, though many describe this as an integral part of her innocent charms.
