Great chapter, love your gradual and detailed approach. I have a sneaking suspicion why changing her last name slightly was also necessary, I guess we'll soon find out. Bureaucratic changes can have far-reaching life consequеnces far beyond what one was anticipating. With Eric gaining more control of how Mandi dresses I wonder if he'll also control other aspects of Mandi's life - or, more likely, she'll just learn to anticipate what he likes/wants (even when that goes against what she likes or wants) - I am thinking public humiliation (like deliberately putting Mandi on the spot as a helpless airhead who only has her looks to guide her in life) or even sexual games. Eric strikes me as the kind of guy who'd be into kinky stuff. I can totally see him asking Mandi to seduce other guys in bars as he watches on from a distance. Or may be he's just a nice family man, who'll take good care of her from now on. You just never know with guys who drug their girlfriends to conduct plastic surgery they never asked for or do you?
