A bigger burden, a bigger loss of control, a bigger theft of his time and his future. He hated Uaid and he hated Matty. His current feelings towards both are ambivalent.
I went back and forth on this page. The seventh panel was originally much more explicit--
I ultimately decided I wanted it ambiguous. Take what you will from Uaid's look of disapproval. He was there. He was awake. He knows what went down from that night forward.
Next update we'll skip to morning and go outside for some shenanigans.

It’s even greater here, having heard what was said (and experienced the aftermath), and yet he does his best not to be burdened by the memory of it. It’s equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring. Quigley does not deserve him, but I hope that he’s learned to appreciate his son more over time.
