Every so often in the khert, memories congeal into entities. Sometimes ebullient memories join into friendly squish fish, and sometimes bitter enemies become red eels. Sometimes they simply congeal into cancerous, monolithic blobs that rise up from the mnemonic mountains, glance around, then wilt again. Maybe they take bites out of each other first, or crawl a few mountains over to melt into a new repose.
These particular giants all have oddly inward-looking eyes, perhaps influenced by the brooding green ghost doing his own looking inward beneath them.

This page is absolutely beautiful and disturbing. I love how your pages flow into each other, the figure on the upper left reminds me of Nanna with her arm ruffles... (and Sesame Street, but, well)

2020-03-18 20:27:18 +0000 UTCI render the fractals in a program called Mandelbulb 3D, then composite them in Photoshop. It's definitely a lot of work! But I love looking at a finished vista of the khert and having it feel like a place you could walk around in. Or fly around in :)

((I figure you might have answered asks in the past on how you do your crazy amazing fractal work, but I gotta admit I can't remember. If that's just in plain old Photoshop, then I can't even imagine how you manage. Mad respect.))
